3 team trade

Lakers end out Ed Davis and Wesley Johnson to Atlanta for john Jenkins and some draft picks
Lakers send hill and draft picks from Atlanta and Houston's 1st rounder to phx for dragic
Phx gets Houston first (and a future first from atlanta from Ed Davis/Johnson trade)

Gives Atlanta a couple end of the rotation guys for a player they don't use and a end of 1st rounder
Lakers get dragic and some value for expiring contracts and take a flier on Jenkins
Phx gets two 1st rounders for dragic. Plus expierings and hill

Win-win-win?

judge this trade...Suns get chuck hayes and torontos 1st round pick-- Toronto gets Jordan hill and lakers 2nd pick and the lakers get goran dragic and tyler hansbrough-----reasons suns- the get expiring deal and a late 1st and dragic isn't with a contender..... raptors-- another big to help during the plaoffs and they give up a late first... lakers get the pg they need.... so don't be to harsh, please

If all it takes to get Dragic is Hill and a 2nd rounder, I'd pay for his first class airfare from Phoenix to LA.

supposedly, all the suns want for dragic is a 1st round pick.

would they take HOU's pick from us? i'd assume so (knowing that other teams may be more hesitant to give up a 1st rd pick due to Dragic being an UFA)

but do we even want to venture down that path? the reason i ask is, 1. were giving up a 1st rounder (albeit, a late one) for a UFA (who i would love to keep on). sure not the end of the world in doing that. but 2. acquiring dragic for Hou's pick may be just a good enough acquisition that we fall out of the bottom 5, further cementing our lack of picks in this upcoming draft. that im sure is making LA MGMT hesitant on any deal

so a potential option, and maybe this is pure wishful thinking... Hill + our HOU pick for Dragic and the return of our own 1st round pick. Suns get a big that they can pair with Wright and Len (im assuming Plumlee falls out of rotation) that helps them keep that 8th spot. Lakers give up a late pick, but in return get their potential PG of the future, and more importantly, we get to keep our pick without any restrictions

If phx says no, then we continue this tank and go after dragic in the summer.

I kinda like that deal... hill and Houston 1st for dragic and CHANGE THE RESTRICTION ON OUR 1st----- from top 5 protected to top 10 protected?????

Atlanta's only first round pick this year is Brooklyn's pick (which will be in the lottery).

Pretty comfortable in saying Atlanta isn't giving up a lotto pick for Ed Davis and Wesley Johnson.

Now if Atlanta were to toss in a future first rounder (not from this year), maybe the Minnesota pick they just traded for earlier this week, it'll be a deal that begins to make sense.

If I'm the Lakers though, I fall back. Dragic makes the Lakers too good to keep their pick, and I'm not ready to commit to Dragic until I find out how the draft unfolds.

I'd wait on Dragic.

i'd consider this deal but also would be very wary of Dragic pulling a Dwight on us.

But why trade our Houston pick. Honestly I'd rather have 2 1st and attempt Goran a Dragic via FA. Dragic also is wanting 4/80. Pass!
