Dude Lake las vegas was pretty great. Never even made it down town. Nice getaway. Somehow I averaged 7 miles walking a day here. Also learned you can basically barge the hotel staff cafeteria and eat well for free. Life skill acquired.

I remember driving next to him on the 15 heading north... He was driving his convertible 911 with personalized plates and his padres hat on, in the center lane, at about 40mph, on a day with no traffic...

RIP Mr Padre.

BTW... Hey Slava, have you been to Papacitos in Houston? You said you had trouble finding good Mexican and that place is the bomb... But it's really crowded and not terribly cheap.

I've heard about it and they opened a new location close to my place but I haven't tried it yet, supposedly the alcohol mixers are pretty good too. My late night Mexican jaunts have been restricted to taco cabana for now.

The original location is at Richmond and Hillcroft... It's the only one still owned by the family that started the chain. It's supposed to be the best... Maybe not the most traditional Mexican in the world, but it's some of the best I've ever had.

For example, I love La Golondria on Olvera Street for traditional Mexican, but the food's a little better at Papacitos.

Will try it when I next go there but I usually avoid Hillcroft unless my friends want to go, the large Indian population is a turnoff for me. There's a place called London Sizzlers at Richmond and Hillcroft which is pretty good British/Indian food, likely the best Indian restaurant in Houston.
