I would love Lopez and Klay same with Bruce Brown but I don’t think they are realistic. Funny you mention been thinking about Pritchard. Maybe something like Pritchard and Muscala for Vando and min contract like Weynen or Harrison.

So far I feel like Lakers have to let this off-season play out for Russell and Rui. Let other teams set the price for them. Reaves we don’t have an option he’s going to sign some sort of trade fee sheet. So just match that as soon as we get it.

DLo played poorly vs. Denver but didn't he win some playoffs games in earlier series or hit big shots to win key games?

Not that recency bias should determine what to do but there probably weren't calls to get rid of him in earlier series.

I’ll say this…I’m into them drafting GG Jackson. Big forward, 3 level scorer, top HS player and has big upside. Which all teams are looking for that type of dude.

Give Handy, Jent and Ham the first half of the year and camp to work with him? And I think we have a good rotation player in the 2nd half of the year. And spending this time with LeBron and his work ethic? Would be huge for GGs career to understand what it takes to be an excellent NBA player. Yeah I’m team GG at this point.

Bilal coulilibily looks like super intriguing. His game feels like scottie Barnes. Once lebron leaves a Davis, rui, Vanderbilt, coulibily, reaves lineup would be devastating defensively.

2. Sign and Trade d'lo+17+Beasley for Dame/Van Vleet/ Kyrie/Trae in that order of preference.
3. Sign a 3 point shooting back up big man such as Al Horford/Brook Lopez
4. Convince Lebron to come back 100% Healthy.

Is that package enough for trae? If so obviously we do that in a heartbeat.

As for FVV, I'd honestly keep the pick and look to retooling long term and getting pieces around guys like Reaves, Rui etc to then lure a star in a few years (like Luka, Tatum etc)

I’d be very surprised if the Lakers don’t let LeBron retire a Laker. Anyone who expects a trade including James might want to wait until Bronny gets drafted by some other team.

Why? Many reasons. Jerseys. Honoring great players by not trading them somewhere they don’t want to go, see Kobe’s career twilight. Jerseys. He’s not going anywhere, is my guess. Oh, and jerseys.

EDIT: there’s also a $1B cable tv contract they signed a while back. I’m sure having LBJ on the roster helps that deal not look idiotic for the fine peeps who paid it. He draws viewers. There’s bound to be clauses in contracts where that Lakers excellence (viewers) is expected to be delivered or …. I really think he stays.

Any trade would have to have lebrons blessing but i wouldn't be too shocked if he did ask to leave at some point

Read we can decline beasleys option but still retain bird rights and sign him to like 5mm/yr. Minor move but def should if we can. Small price to pay on off chance he gets his stroke back (only downside is he has noodz of ham and can somehow play 25mpg when he’s going 0-15)

If we can’t find a trade for him, we have to do this.

3 years, $30M with a contract starting around $8M would be my hope.

If D'Lo had played better i think we could have won a couple of games against the Nuggets, but they were really **** good and had the best player in the world, so they might have beaten us anyway.

I think we're in a good spot to build on the succes we had this season, though

BIGS:
We clearly need add another big man. AD was the best defender in the world, but he cant really defend Jokic at the perimeter and protect the rim at the same time. But in my opinion, keeping Bamba and re-signing TT would solve this.

FORWARDS:
Pretty happy with the combination of Rui + Lebron + Vando. I think adding a guy like Josh Richardson, Joe Ingles, Trey Lyles etc. using part of MLE or BAE would help round out the rotation.

GUARDS:
We also need something in the backcourt in addition to keeping Reaves. Maye hether it's replacing Dennis or D'Lo with a bought out Chris Paul on a MLE to run the point, trading for a sniper such as Buddy Hield or going for a Fred VanVleet or Kyrie.
