Some free agents I’d be looking at.

Guards
Jevon Carter
Aaron Holiday
Damion Lee
Josh Richardson

Bigs
Trey Lyles
Christian Wood
George’s Niang
Mike Muscala
Yuta Watanabe

I’d add Pritchard and BroLo and Klay to that list.

I’d love to keep Vando. Pritchard competes.

It’s his second time here, so that proves the saying. Shame on us.

Fool me thrice, insanity.

DLo played poorly vs. Denver but didn't he win some playoffs games in earlier series or hit big shots to win key games?

Not that recency bias should determine what to do but there probably weren't calls to get rid of him in earlier series.

That’s the main thing
I could understand he can’t play any defense because he lacks the IQ but they always tell me how much confidence this guy has and he was playing scared out there

I’ll say this…I’m into them drafting GG Jackson. Big forward, 3 level scorer, top HS player and has big upside. Which all teams are looking for that type of dude.

Give Handy, Jent and Ham the first half of the year and camp to work with him? And I think we have a good rotation player in the 2nd half of the year. And spending this time with LeBron and his work ethic? Would be huge for GGs career to understand what it takes to be an excellent NBA player. Yeah I’m team GG at this point.

Bilal coulilibily looks like super intriguing. His game feels like scottie Barnes. Once lebron leaves a Davis, rui, Vanderbilt, coulibily, reaves lineup would be devastating defensively.
Warspite:

Prince + filler for Kobe Bryant
To be honest the way Prince has played and with Kobes injury/age/mileage Im not sure I would do that deal either. Still Prince is more important and he wins the head to head battles with Kobe.

2. Sign and Trade d'lo+17+Beasley for Dame/Van Vleet/ Kyrie/Trae in that order of preference.
3. Sign a 3 point shooting back up big man such as Al Horford/Brook Lopez
4. Convince Lebron to come back 100% Healthy.
Is that package enough for trae? If so obviously we do that in a heartbeat.

As for FVV, I'd honestly keep the pick and look to retooling long term and getting pieces around guys like Reaves, Rui etc to then lure a star in a few years (like Luka, Tatum etc)

Why? Many reasons. Jerseys. Honoring great players by not trading them somewhere they don’t want to go, see Kobe’s career twilight. Jerseys. He’s not going anywhere, is my guess. Oh, and jerseys.

EDIT: there’s also a $1B cable tv contract they signed a while back. I’m sure having LBJ on the roster helps that deal not look idiotic for the fine peeps who paid it. He draws viewers. There’s bound to be clauses in contracts where that Lakers excellence (viewers) is expected to be delivered or …. I really think he stays.
Any trade would have to have lebrons blessing but i wouldn't be too shocked if he did ask to leave at some point

Would anyone do a Beasley, Bamba, 17 deal for John Collins?

- Re-sign Reaves, $12.2M, 4 years
- Re-sign Rui, $15M, 4 years
- Sign Chris Paul, $4.5M (BLE), 1 year
- Sign Dennis Schroder, $6M (Half MLE), 1 year
- Sign Trey Lyles, $4M (Partial MLE), 1 year
- Sign Troy Brown, $2.2M, 1 year
- Sign Wenyen Gabriel, $3M, 1 year
- Sign Stanley Johnson, $2M, 1 year
- Sign Tristan Thompson, $2M, 1 year

Bron: $46.9M
AD: $40.6M
Collins: $23.5M
Rui: $15M
Reaves: $12.2M
Schroder: $6M
Lyles: $4M
Vando: $4.7M
Paul: $4.5M
Gabriel: $3M
Brown: $2.2M
Johnson: $2M
Christie: $1.7M
2nd round: $1M

Total: $167M - which will be just short of hard cap number by about $3M.

PG: Paul/Schroder/
SG: Reaves/Christie/Brown
SF: LeBron/Rui/Stanley
PF: Collins/Vando/Lyles
C: Davis/Gabriel/

How much more playoff ready are we with that team? In my opinion, the following would be 7 players who can hang in playoff games:

Paul, Schroder, Reaves, Bron, Rui, AD, Collins

Can Vando improve into a legit playoff guy? Christie? Troy Brown? Lyles for spacing?

The thing I love about Collins is he’s AD insurance and even LeBron in a way for games those two will miss in the regular season.

Non AD: Paul, Reaves, Rui, LeBron, Collins, Schroder, Vando, Lyles, Christie, Brown

Non LeBron: Paul, Reaves, Rui, Collins, AD, Schroder, Vando, Lyles, Christie, Brown

Reaves / Buddy / Vando / Lebron / AD
Schroeder / Richardson / Rui / Bamba / Thompson
#26 / #47 / Christie / ...

I’d love this.

If we can’t find a trade for him, we have to do this.

3 years, $30M with a contract starting around $8M would be my hope.

Think Collins would be a great buy low. His shooting has been hurt by a wrist injury hopefully he has surgery this off-season and allows it to heal.

Match rui and reeves offers

Waive mo bamba and decline Beasley, try to convince Kyrie or FVV to sign for less.

If you cant get either of them resign Schroeder and Dlo and run it back.

If D'Lo had played better i think we could have won a couple of games against the Nuggets, but they were really **** good and had the best player in the world, so they might have beaten us anyway.

I think we're in a good spot to build on the succes we had this season, though

BIGS:
We clearly need add another big man. AD was the best defender in the world, but he cant really defend Jokic at the perimeter and protect the rim at the same time. But in my opinion, keeping Bamba and re-signing TT would solve this.

FORWARDS:
Pretty happy with the combination of Rui + Lebron + Vando. I think adding a guy like Josh Richardson, Joe Ingles, Trey Lyles etc. using part of MLE or BAE would help round out the rotation.

GUARDS:
We also need something in the backcourt in addition to keeping Reaves. Maye hether it's replacing Dennis or D'Lo with a bought out Chris Paul on a MLE to run the point, trading for a sniper such as Buddy Hield or going for a Fred VanVleet or Kyrie.

From Windhorst:

The Miami Heat had an unexpected run to The Finals as the No. 8 seed and could be in position to upgrade their roster this offseason by trading for a star.

"They have draft picks at their disposal," said Brian Windhorst on his podcast following Game 5. "And they potentially have tradeable contracts and I think they're going to go hunting for a star."
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

This right here, is what I'm talking about. MAKE THE AD TRADE! MAKE IT!! Grab a couple picks, and lets move on!
