If rumors are to be believed, Lakers have a decent shot at LeBron this summer. More rumors suggest Chris Paul might be at odds with Houston over a max contract. If CP3 and LBJ team up in LA, I read an article that said the Lakers might look to move Ball, especially since LeBron and LaVar have never seen eye to eye.

What do you think about an offer of Evan Fournier, Jonathan Simmons, and a lottery-protected 1st for Ball and Luol Deng? Fournier could be the 2-guard that’s an excellent 3-point shooter and Simmons would be the defensive dog-type that LeBron covets to do the dirty work.

If that wasn’t enough, I’d try to revise the deal: Fournier, Simmons, and Vucevic for Ball, Deng, and Channing Frye.

In either scenario, Deng’s contract hurts us. 3 more years at $17M per is a lot to swallow. But Fournier’s contract isn’t great either, with 4 years at $17M, but at least LA would get rid of Deng and Fournier solves a need: 3-point shooting. Vucevic is a capable starter or sweet-shooting solid bench center made expendable with Bamba being drafted. Frye is an expiring so it doesn’t matter much either way. He’s just in there for salary cap purposes.

Now I don’t know if that offer is good enough at all, but not many teams need a PG so it may have to do if LeBron is adamant about not playing with Ball. Off the top of my head, Phoenix, Indiana, LAC and Milwaukee would probably be interested, and maybe Charlotte, Chicago and Detroit. We’d have to beat their offers, and it may have to involve a protected 1st rounder. But Ball would give us incredible size and length all around and the Lakers could potentially boast a lineup of:

Vucevic
LeBron
George
Fournier
Paul

This is assuming PG could be had in a sign and trade for Ingram or Kuzma something.

So what do you think? Just curious to see if I’d get laughed out of my own forum.

Yeah no interest in that. Fournier's contract is long and expensive for what we're doing. Your only chance is probably Bamba i'd say.

No problem, if you want a Ball like P.G. then maybe Exum may be the way to go or somehow get Collison from Indiana or Schroeder.

We get out of Deng's contract at the heavy price of Kuzma and a FRP.... but get 2 quality young players

I rather not give up Lonzo unless it was for Leonard.

Does not look like it is happening through Spurs .

It might be best to just sit tight and wait for 2019 and pick up some good role players if not Lebron or PG

I'd give up Ball if the price was right (i.e. Leonard, or if Portland decide to blow it up, Lillard or someone of a high caliber). I'd even consider Ball + Deng for Kemba IF we already got Leonard and are signing George and Lebron.

The thing I noticed, the clippers negotiated with Charlotte and mitch. I somewhat dont think the clippers or Charlotte will deal with us

Not to emphasize that they should or should not, but to point out what some folks may not have noticed.

;feature=push-fr&attr_tag=UdaPHRTdiSS0tgAP-6

Kemba could be gone for cheap... Charlottes recently took on a longer deal for short term relief.

Could we deal... deng, zubac, cash, and 2019 FRP (unprotected).... for kemba (expiring 12 mil), and marvin williams (15 mil) (3 mill less than deng in last year, and easier to trade)...that gives them almost 8 million before taxes... (potentially 13+ mil in savings)

if they are looking for talent instead of cap space.. we can easily s&T pope or isiah... in that deal

He helped Brooklyn nicely, he owes it to us to at least take back his Deng deal.

Deng + 2019 first + Zubac and Hart for Kemba. After that Mozgov deal nothing is impossible with him now.

Just want nothing to do with us. Plus we already got a PG. It's SG and C we need help the most in.

if Lebron comes we'd need a P.G. who can work off the ball, in theory, if we can ditch Deng, get Kemba back and not have to give up one of our core pieces, we take that 10/10.
