not planning on it, haven't read any of the books- heard good things though (had my friend ruin the first one for me)

movie sounds kind of weird, not sure i want to watch a bunch of kids killing each other, i'll probably jump on the bandwagon late like i do with everything else

youve never read Fahrenheit 451? its like the greatest dystopian novel ever.

i actually think Harrison Bergeron is the best, but its a short story, so...

that was good too, haven't read that in a long time

sophie's world blows them both out of the water for me though, that book opened the realm of possibility for me (can get kind of dry during the philosophical history parts though)

Never heard of it tbh. I haven't read much since 7th or 8th grade, save for a summer when I did at work.

moby dick is really good if you can persevere through the first third of the book (bunch of nonsense before they even get on the dang boat) but things move pretty fast from there

and of course you have to mention treasure island since i'm a big fan of pirates

A Brave New World by Aldous Huxley and Do Androids dream of electric sheep by I believe Isaac Asimov are also great dystopian novels.

A better version of that movie would be Battle Royale. Bunch of kids gotta kill each other on some remote island, it's either Korean or Japanese, can't remember.
