The real reason why nets will either not reach Finals or if they do reach it barely, wont win, is bc of lack of chemistry...yes yes I know it has been talked about already and all net fans already say offensively they dont need chemistry as they have a lot of firepower. The one thing they dont know is that we are not talking about chemistry in general, offense chemistry, or locker room chemistry. ("Oh these guys already have played in the Olympics together, they already have scoring chemistry" is what they say). Sure, they have enough scoring chemistry. That is the easy part for most teams.
We are referring to team defense chemistry. In the playoffs when the opponent really does their homework to scout your team and focuses in on adjustments, defensive chemistry is needed to pull your team through. The team acting in unison on defense as one seamless unit and everyone knowing in a split second how to react at any given situation. Especially during an urgent moment in a game, a high-pressure moment, backs against the wall type moments. If the team is experienced in defense chemistry, they can rely on it in a calm manner to pull them through hopefully. Rather than scramble around and not knowing but to look at the coach to call a time out and try to put something together defensively on the fly (but usually they cant because the other team has the ball in hand! ).

Nets dont have that defensive cohesion chemistry like us or other teams out there that are very familiar to amp up defensive focus as a collective. Sure , kd plays defense here or there, claxton plays his one on one defense, etc, but when it comes to team totality, they will need to practice as a whole for more than a couple dozen games or so to come to a minimum of any defensive chemistry. Defensive teams like Lakers, Miami, Bucks etc have been practicing their brand of team defense for 2 years or more. Knicks have been practicing their team defense for a whole season almost. You hesitate for a split second, or someone blanks out on defense for a moment, the team defense breaks down, and the opponent gets just enough look to get by or to shoot a basket.

But let's not talk about it on the gb. Let them continue to claim they have chemistry. lol.

clippers v portland tonite. Want the clippers to win.

No use trying to go up any higher than 4th seed perhaps .
Just try to maintain the 5th and keep portland and dallas beneath us till the end of the season.

I wonder if Vegas has the NBA futures for the champions still the same. They still do. Hmm. Interesting.

Games 4/21/2021 to focus on today:

Suns v @Sixers
Need Suns to win to get them to 1seed for us. However would like Sixers to win as well to maintain their 1 seed. Ambivalent here.

Pistons v @Mavs
Hopefully Pistons can pull off a win here. Keep Mavs down below as much as possible.

Grizzlies v @Clippers
A loss here by the Clippers will tie them w the Denver Nuggets (in the loss column). Want to keep the clippers in their separate bracket, so hopefully they win tonite.

Nets v @Raptors
Would be amused to see the nets fall here.

Nuggets v @Blazers
Nugs are too far ahead of us to try to catch up to them. Also they are still playing really well. Better to focus on continuing separation from the Blazers. Denver wins here.

Man the Nets look incredible out there even without a complete team and not playing with full effort most of the time. :o

If they are healthy and Kyrie continues to play like a superstar, I’m afraid to say they are heavy favourites against anyone. I think their backcourt + KD is too much for Lebron and AD to overcome, and the role players that are in their eventual shorter playoff rotation are excellent.

Its painful to watch Julius Randle with another jersey, putting up allstar numbers.

I feel happy for him and the Lakers scouting team, they ended up picking the 3rd best player from that draft.

No Randle, no ring/s.

No way we have Lebron+AD with him needed to get paid.

So yeah, I'm **** ecstatic he's gone.

I'm extremely happy for the dude. And alot of it is on him. Randle never wanted to expand his game while a Laker. He was straight ahead train barrelin down the tracks.
But seeing him shoot 3s. Midrange. Turnaround fadeaway. Expand his game, that makes me glad to see that happen for the guy. A true Pro. Who wants to stay long term. Thats cool to see

Would you say having 7 losses more than a team , that is potentially a 1seed and a contender for the title this year, make it a bad season? No.
Well, we are only 7 games behind the Suns in the loss column.

Ive been reading the Clips board a bit these days bc I am interested in them this year a bit, I noticed a lot of quarrelling and fighting amongst themselves after every loss. And there seems to be a few factions going at it against each other. They also fight against their mods as well, like really bad, calling them names and such. It is a stark contrast I see between that board and this one.
We have every reason to feel down bc of our team's constant losing and constant injuries, but we seem to be a bit more civil towards each other for the most part. I m happy about that.

The Clippers should move to Las Vegas or Nebraska. The Maryland Clippers. 8-)

Watching the Nets vs nuggets game, and guys are absolutely getting hammered. Both ways. And Refs just decided not to call sh**. My worry is always our team and Bron. He is forcing the action at tines by goin to the lane, but they simply will not make the calls.

We’d better get ready and up for tonight’s game against the Suns. If not, Monty and CP3 will toy with us. We need to rack up tight wins, not blowout losses.

J Randle, B Ingram, Lonzo Ball, Josh Hart, T Bryant, Mo Wagner. Who am I missing? We traded away a whole lot to get the team we have.

Nobody can say we didn’t draft well since Rob came aboard, anyway. Add Cacok, Kostas, THT, Caruso to the list above. Pretty damn impressive.

And I forgot Kuzma, too. Oops.

We’ve drafted well, no doubt.

PG: Caruso, L Ball, D Russ
SG: THT, Hart, Clarkson
SF: Ingram, Kuzma
PF: Randle, Nance Jr, Wagner
C: Zubac, Bryant, Kostas

I wonder what team, if any, might have drafted better than us over the last few years.

Watching the Portland/Phoenix game for obvious reasons... they both decided this was going to be a no defense game, apparently...
