I need to buy a couple of PS3 games old/new doesn't matter as long as its great, preferably good single player type since I'm not sure how much internet access I might have back in the homeland. Any recommendations?

Heavy Rain, most definitely Mass Effect 2 (though you should play the first part on PC before hand so you'll know the story), Red Dead Redemption, GTA IV, LittleBigPlanet, Bioshock, Fallout 3 & Las Vegas.

Not exactly. Skyrim is an RPG and you can't really compare it to any other games outside of Oblivion, the Fallout series, and Bioshock. You may need to look on youtube to see what I'm talking about.

Skyrim is never ending game, so if you're looking for a single player experience then it's a must buy. I honestly wish I had held off on buying Saints Row and bought Skyrim instead, but whatever.

Forgot about Red Dead. LBP isn't really fun unless you're online and play with friends or play on other users maps.

True...I loved Fallout 3, one of my personal favorites. Mass Effect is the GOAT, though I'm hella biased towards that haha.

Cool, I'm not much into the RPG stuff so I'll give it a pass.
