Had that happen for an entire day in my one building on a day that I had 4 classes in there, after the second time in the first class we stopped going outside.

Depends on how you took the word "stud". If you were talking about a blue chip prospect then no he's not a stud, but if you're talking about a player who made more than his fair share of plays then yes he's legit. Group together his lack of playing time and the fact that I just said his bat isn't that great and I think you'll see a reason for those unspectacular numbers. But he's a great defensive player being able to play 3rd and SS pretty efficiently. Shame he's 29 though.

If you've seen Martinez play you'd be able to tell he's a pretty good player, he just didn't get many opportunities to show what he's got. But when he did, he made the best of them.

This. Anybody can be a solid player in a limited sample size. From what I see, he's a speedy, utility player with an above average arm. I don't think he's an everyday player and I don't think his defense is great enough to make up for his empty stick.

Ravens. What the **** are you doing out there?!

I guess we'll just have to agree to disagree. I know what I've seen from him so far on defense and it's promising. As for as your everyday player theory, I think he could replicate Rollins.

Rollins:
.248/16 HR/63 RBI/.338 OBP

Martinez:
.198/3 HR/24 RBI/.258 OBP

As I said before Martinez didn't even really play this season, while Rollins was an everyday guy. And even though Rollins went through a spot where he was injured this past season, I don't think his numbers would've been that far off from the above numbers.

I can't even think right now. This Ravens-Jaguars game is so ugly it's affecting my baseball IQ.

Look what you've done. These two are crying because you don't think Martinez is a good player. That and because somewhere deep down inside the guy with the glasses heart, he still loves the guy with the ashy hands.
