ive tried watching breaking bad and its pretty decent, but comparing it to the sopranos is quite a stretch imo. the sopranos is a masterpiece of television, theres very few dramas that can ever compare to that. the only one off the top of my head id say is similarly great is the wire.

The only show I've seen that is better than Breaking Bad is the Wire. I would say that Breaking Bad is pretty close to a masterpiece.

Never got into the Sopranos

BB hits its stride in season 3 and on, so that might be it. I mean it's prolly not as good as sopranos, but it definitely deserves it's dedicated viewership.

i thought it was a fine ending, but i understand why people disliked it. to me the show didnt need closure for it to feel like it was ending.

That's because it wound down to the point of irrelevancy anyway... But I agree that it's better than Breaking Bad...
In fact, I'm clearly in the minority here, but I don't think Breaking Bad is very good at all. I've tried to watch it a bunch of times over the seasons and just can't get into it... I don't have a short attention span either, I can pretty much watch any show, but Breaking Bad just doesn't entertain me.

I know it's not a masterpiece or anything but I really like Justified... Suits is pretty OK too... But I think it might be getting a little goofy at this point.

The whole mega series thing kind of died for me after the second season of 24... And Lost ran over it with a steam-roller, burnt it and buried it in the desert in a shallow grave...
All the build up for a season that culminates in pretty much no closure and even more questions, just sort of pisses me off...
I feel like a fool if I start getting overly excited for a show now...

well yeah like with many shows, the sopronos lost some steam as it got towards the end. i know some people that hated the last season.

Breaking Bad is a masterpiece.

Maybe a bit less glamorous considering its based in New Mexico instead of New York/ New Jersey but a damn good story nonetheless.

Watched every single episode of Sopranos and Entourage as well. There's no doubt those two shows were legendary. Working on catching up in Breaking Bad and so far it looks like when it's all said and done this shows will join the ranks of the Sopranos and Entorauge in tv history.

P.S.
glad to watch to be watching it on Netflix.
Too many cliffhangers at the end of every show/season.
I watch like 2-3 episodes per viewing.

i kind of hated everything about entourage after the first 3 seasons i think. i dunno kind of got pretentious and not very entertaining. i know my parents hate that show because they deal with people in hollywood everyday and they arent very enjoyable, and that show plays off that stereotype. tbh i dont see anything about entourage that makes it truly great, the writing and the story is pretty bland and repetitive after awhile and while the characters are likable for a bit, they eventually become irritating.

It was awesome at first because to non-Californians, such as myself, it was cool to see that lifestyle. I liked the relationship between the characters, but I wouldn't say it is a masterpiece. It's was pretty enjoyable overall though.

@ Kali, never heard New Jersey referred to as, 'glamorous'. lol

I haven't, but New Jersey is an infamous dump. It's like Cleveland(been there too).

I assume the weather, at the very least, is good in New Mexico.
