That's a pretty awful comparison.

Awful would be better used to describe this trade...sixers wouldve gotten picks to take on roy, we give up picks even if its the last pick of tje draft its still awful

We are not the Sixers. The Sixers didn't need to take him on. We need a center, we need someone on our team with actual size, and we need to save face. At least this time it isn't as stupid a quantum leap as taking Lin. And just for reference the only reason we took on a pick for lin is they thought they had bosh to Miami swooped in and went total max. It wasn't us being a good front office, let that go, we haven't been that in years

It's apparently a couple of 2nd round picks. That's fine.

Yea he averages 10 rebounds per 36 minutes so it's not that bad. However the fact that he's never played more than 30 mpg is troubling to me. Is his conditioning that bad or were they just saving him during the season (he plays over 30 mpg in the playoffs)?

It shouldn't be surprising considering his built that he wouldn't be able to play heavy minutes.

Well, what worries me is how Byron Scott might run him into the ground within the first 20-30 games. We're talking about a coach who thought Kobe could play more minutes than what Kobe suggested for himself .

Catch 22. He's a 27mpg guy all regular season but he's basically played damn near every game of his career.

Also, this hurts the Clippers since they're still without a Center. Enjoy that feeling folks.

Seemed like he was progressing as a player until his teammate progressed into his wife.

Maybe he'll get his mojo back in LA.

This is why we suck and a good chance we are always going to suck from now on. No we don't NEED a center we are a Lotto team without a Lotto pick. you know who NEEDs something play off teams. Lotto teams need Asset not some who has 1 year left on there contract that wont turn them into a play off team.

Actually, he's gotten much better at the pick and pop, but not the pick and roll. He's really developed in his mid-range game. Last year he shot 44% from 16' to the 3pt line. I think he's figuring where his real talent lies, and he's not too bad there. He's no banger inside. When he's feeling it, he has a great running, soft hook. But, when he's mentally out, yeah, just have him stand at the top of the key.

Give us your pick pls kthxbai.

Nah. We had cleared things up and were willing to play him all year. Remember, the last two times Larry Bird actually had a really bad situation where bridges were burned (Ron Artest/Jamaal Tinsley) he held them away from the team and then either dealt them while not paying anything, or just bought them out. He didn't pay off another team to take on his issues.

He's got a good 12-13 foot jumper on pip outs and can hit to about the free throw line ... He also has no ego about shots and touches so he won't ask for the post ups or demand them all the time, but he will call for it when he seals a guy good. In a lot of ways, he strikes me as a guy whose career could parallel Big Z if he just stays consistent and can play 30mpg.

Also with no Deandre babysitting in the paint anymore we actually have a chance at beating them this season if Roy decides to turn up

It's not a fluke

Wonder who you guys could put next to him at the 4?

Hmm

I know he can play. He's like Bynum when Bynum played in the playoffs hobbled and had no pop. You put a guy next to him who can move, recover, get back from a to b and then chase the distant boards. I like Randle but to me he's a sixth man along with Clarkson. I'd almost give all our other money not Josh smith to let him start at PF

Yeah ...it's slim pickings ...I'd probably try Brandon Bass first tho ....less of an ego

We need to hit the floor as well and teach guys like the youngins how to play D as none of the 3 were known for it in high school or college. Don't be silly .. It was always Hibbert or Koufos up next

Hibbert rental isn't the worst deal in the world, and he actually plays defense, averaged almost 2BPG last season

he better come in and be prepared to do more though, hopefully he rebounds the ball better, only thing is that he is really slow.

Any chance that the jump to Los Angeles can actually rejuvenate Roy's career?

I mean we already know Mitch and Jim is gonna bring him into the practice facility and point out to him the Kareem, Shaq, Wilt and Mikan jerseys on the wall...

You apparently have no long term perspective. The Lakers can flip Hibbert at some point during the season for a team desperate for a Center. And seeing the teams lacking front court help, we may get some of those assets you're talking about down the road.

I mean if Nance wasn't a nba rookie, I could see him getting a look next to him based off the way he played in college. Refs won't give him any respect though

Lets. Also be real here, Mitch and Jim won't turn him into anything. Best case is they hover around 500 and they look to bring someone else in
