If you look at how the salaries are lined up for the Warriors, if they are able to resign Durant, Klay might have to be the sacrifice for them unless they absolutely dont care about the payroll and luxury tax.

Regarding Kawhi Leonard. Rumors are 1) he is unhappy with the Spurs organization 2) someone close to him with influence is trying to guide Leonard to LA to become the star he deserves to be.
And of course they are both from the LAish area for whatever thats going to be worth.

How does that make you better than the Lin, Gallo, and Wil fans who root for them over NY?

Kawahi would be great with Ball
If Randle comes for the right price
Cousins at the right price
Save money for Ingram & Kuzuma
PG would be great if he take a little bit less than the max. Players need to step back a bit like KD. Once they won titles then they can go max. In order to build a title contender players need to take 25 to 30 instead of 35 mil a season
Especially if they are over 25 years.
Ball, Hart
Ingram, Hart
Kawahi, Kuzuma
Cousins

George and Leonard is the dream scenario for me.
Ball-Leonard-Ingram-George-Lopez
and you have Randle, Zubac and a bunch of other pieces that just add to the versatility of this roster.

This is the problem with the 2 star approach. I don't see Randle going back to the bench. My guess is that he gets a 4-5 year deal AND wants a starting spot. With all of the forwards we have it's a full house.
As for Lopez... no good/great team can survive him on their roster. Sure, he'll give you a weekly good game shooting the 3 but the stuff between is gettable at far less cost.

why wouldn't he if he's getting 26-28MPG?

"The King"??? You're calling him that as a Laker fan? He's not the king of anything except ignorant hearts. Please stop.

I would just it if Bron came to the Lakers, not because I want him here, but just to see Bronies lose it seeing him in a Laker uniform and also seeing Laker fans who hate Bron having to cheer for him.

well he ain't starting ahead of Kuzma, he could start ahead of Lopez but Lopez opening just makes more sense, then you bring on Randle on from the bench cause of his energy. I'd imagine he'd play more minutes than Lopez.

I don't care at all, he is possibly the GOAT. And I want the best players on my squad. Get over it. Period.

I don’t want the LBJ Circus around our young team... We have spent years getting these young studs... Ball, Ingram & Kuzz are solid... Randle & Hart Play the right way... Lets get PG & keep the puppies around... Ball 6’6”), PG (6’9”), Ingram (6’10”), Kuzz (6’9”) & Randle (6’9”) could switch everything...

Should we bring in Michael Jordan? And bring back Kobe and Shaq also?
Lebron is going to be 34 in December. It doesn't make sense to pair him with our young core.
We need stars younger than 30. Period.

Minutes
Ball (32) Vet (16)
Ingram (32) Hart (16)
George (32) Lebron (16)
Lebron (16) Kuzma (32)
Vet (24) ZuBryant (24)
You really think a 34 year old lebron isnt in the WCF for the next 3 years with that team? Or the next 6 years if he takes on the Duncan ego.

Not if we don't survive a second round deathmatch with Houston.

The length of Ball and Ingram would be a disaster for CP and Hardens drives to the basket. Just play off them until they put the shot up and swat the hell out of it. On the other end of the court Ball and BI just take them to the block, where they both have a 5-6 inch advantage, every single possession.
And is Ariza going to guard all three of Ingram, George, and Lebron at the same time?

Thing to ponder: Our "Young Core" already knows how to beat GSW, OKC, and Houston... We just don't have the firepower to do it consistently...
Just adding PG13 might be enough to start winning about 50% of those games... Adding LeBron too?
Point being, adding PG and LeBron can be a symbiotic thing... They get some knowledge, we get a lot more... But, we already show well against most of the best teams in the league.

I agree.
The way I see our core coming together, adding just PG makes us a playoff contender.
IMO, adding PG AND LBJ makes us title contenders, if we can also add a solid on the ball defender and a rim protector.

I've been saying this for quite awhile too. They have similar mindsets imoMatteok93 wrote:I wonder why nobody has discussed the chances of LeBron and Durant teaming up with the Lakers?
I agree its crazy thinking Durant would leave the Dubs, but its definitely not impossible. We will have the cap space.
Imagine that lineup: Lonzo facilitating for the 2 greatest players in the world, then add on Kuzma, Ingram, Hart, the newly acquired FRP, and whoever else. that would beat any other team in the league.
Obviously its unlikely, but you can never say never in the NBA, the mecca of roster transaction drama.
Oh btw, who did lebron pick first for his all-star team?
Go Lakers and happy friday!

Can't Julius Randle sign a small contract this summer then be signed using bird rights in summer 2019?

Kilroy wrote:Yeah, trading Ball for Wall AND throwing in Ingram would be beyond stupid... Wall's mental issues are a concern for all good teams around the league... He's starting to sound a bit like Rondo...
That and LeBron is a Lonzo/LaVar fan... They're a big reason he wants to come to LA.
Wall's contract is quickly reaching negative value status. While he's still a great player, there is actually a case to be made that absorbing his contract without giving anything of value back could potentially be a dumb move considering the free agents availabe in the next two years. I would hesitate to include first round picks or Kuz in a trade for him where you are taking that much salary back for his questionable mentality and durability....let alone including Lonzo OR Ingram
