This guy is a frustrating follow. He has some credible B grade guys who interact with him regularly, but this just sounds like a total lie:

No way Myers opens up about the Lakers to a total stranger at breakfast... Would you start talking about your job to someone you just met? Didn't think so...
He may have gotten a random grunt and nod out of him, but hard to picture an actual conversation happening... Especially "without an expectation of privacy."

Getting into some serious world weekly report level of not pro reporting, I know... but I'll entertain anything that isn't Rob will run the team with Rambis

Don't do this to yourselves guys, there's a ton of crap out there on Lakers twitter that is unreliable and sounds false to any man with a cent of common sense.
Everything about the NBA gets leaked within seconds in this day and age so if there is anything we need to learn it will probably be outed by one of Woj/Shams/Ramona or Chris Haynes.

Sam Amick says Lakers are aiming to replace Magic with someone that had a bigger name than David Griffin

Re: Search(?) for the next president (or not?)
Long shot candidate nobody's really mentioning... Pop... He's had a great run in San Antonio, but that team's ready for a rebuild now... I doubt he wants to play the draft lottery game.
His wife just passed away, he just sold his house in San Antonio... I think he's primed to make a move.
He's also coached LeBron on Team USA... And LeBron likes him.
That's the highest, 'higher than Griffin' there is...
Like I said... Long shot... But I could see it...

I warmed up to Rob Pelinka, now that I know he is close with #Klutch. I'll be happy with anyone else Lebron chooses...

I'd vote for the man to be President even though I occasionally hate his guts.
That would be epic. I really feel like POP hates LA too much to do it, but that would be some serious NWO status

Pops would be great but my question is why are they interviewing possible coaches if they have Pops in mind.
Why not wait for the post season to end, then offer Pops as coach/POBO or atleast let him decide who needs to coach this team. Imagine Pops actually was open to become the POBO and finds out they hire a coach he didn't like...

Guys, Pop is not going to come to LA... he's been in SA a long time and if he left to come to the Lakers he would be hated there forever. Makes no sense.

Re: Search(?) for the next president (or not?)
if we hire a coach before POB that would be amazingly dumb unless it's specifically the scenario where said to be named later POB has already chosen his order of preference.
basically it does still seem like momo is right and it's Rob

Stephen A saying Jeanie wants to make a big splash and that she’s interested in Riley; Wilbon says he’s hearing the same thing.
Either way, someone is seriously wrong right now. Some saying Lakers looking to get a big name, others saying it’s going to just be Rob.

No saying it's going to happen but Pop doesn't seem to care too much what people think... And having just moved from the San Antonio area, I can say from my experience, I think after Duncan, Parker and Ginobili calling it quits, the town expects Pop to leave soon too... And also, if you've never spent time in Texas, you have to realize Basketball is a third-class, at best, sport there....
College Football
Pro Football
Highschool Football
Baseball
Basketball...
In that order... There are a vast number of people in San Antonio who would have no idea who Pop was walking down the street.

I believe it... I suggested it...
I just hope it's true... I'm not sure Riley's the ideal candidate, I just really hope there's fire where all this "looking for a big name" smoke is right now... We need a unifying force right now, and that takes a big personality, to outshine LeBron, Klutch, Jeannie etc... And Riley has that.

Re: Search(?) for the next president (or not?)
Riley is definitely a better option than Rob but at the same time here we go again trying to get ex Lakers to join the franchise if true. We are so stuck in our past.
