sigh why is Beal so overvalued in this league. I donr get it
:(

Because he's 25 years old, and averaged 26/5/5. He's better than anyone on the Lakers roster by a large margin (except for Lebron).

Only a Lakers fan would think Ingram and 4 for Beal and 9 is unfair to the Lakers. The Wizards wouldn't even do Ingram and 4 just for Beal alone.

Im not breaking the bank for a player that has never cracked a 21 PER. Especially not when pairing us with Lebron would only land us in first round pergatory.

Davis is an important piece.

Should the Lakers land Davis and get past the Dubs.

He would be need to stop Giannis or Embiid

Trading BI and 4th pick in exchange for Beal and 9th pick is considered as breaking the bank for you? :o
PER is a goog stat but it should be taken in context. BI himself has a very low PER while Kanter have had above 21 PER the past 5 years, Lou Williams and Mcgee has 21 PER , would you “really break the bank” for one of them and not for Paul George last year?

Im clearly talking about the inevitable cap space hit here. You wrent getting another star with Beal and Lebrons contracts on the books. So yes that is breaking the bank.

More Pelican hate is being sold. Reportedly the Hatred for the Lakers is strong. But I believe their GM will see that the Laker assets are the best fit. No one can offer what Zion needs. An exvellent set up man in the open court..Lonzo. and a shooter on the wing..Kuzma. Zion is a high flying act. He needs what only we have. The Laker package is without a doubt not only the best, but the most compatible. I believe Pels GM will also sees that.

Los Angeles Lakers Get: Bradley Beal, No. 9 pick

Washington Wizards Get: Brandon Ingram, No. 4 pick

If the Lakers don't think they're going to get Davis—whether because New Orleans takes him off the block or because it's clear someone else has the best offer—they should pivot to adding veteran firepower around LeBron James.

For the above deal to work, the Lakers would have to include some salary filler. Let's focus on the overall structure and worry about those details later.

Bradley Beal proved he could run the show with John Wall sidelined last year, and he's precisely the kind of perimeter threat who would thrive alongside James. A career 38.4 percent three-point shooter, Beal would offer high-volume, high-efficiency offense, and it doesn't hurt that he's spent most of his career as a second option.

I'd do that deal and not even ask for the #9 pick.

It would be a draft night trade where it wouldn't happen until after the moratorium:

Brad Beal for Ingram, Wagner, Bonga #4 pick - Salaries don't need to match because it doesn't become official until after the moratorium. The Lakers would then have $23M in cap space plus the room exception ($5M per season) and BIA ($3M) to add to:

Ball
Beal
Hart
Kuzma
LeBron

Lakers have to get either Davis or Beal with this pick.

We are 100% trading that pick. It's a no doubter with Lebron and his window.

If we can get AD...….. wow. Now that Griffin is there the bad blood should be water (??) under the bridge. Lets start anew and make this deal. Then sign Kyrie and boom...….. we are officially back.

Just keep Kuzma is all I ask. Oh and HELL NO to Beal. Are you kidding me. That's killing all the cap and the lucky pick in one go for frickin Beal. HELL NO.

You bringing up PER made your point a lot less clearer especially with guys like McGee, Kanter etc met that criteria. Moving on, so do you think gutting the young core in favor of a guy like AD would make the Lakers a contender? Is it feasible?

I'd seriously trade down for him... Modern NBA be damned... Teach him the sky hook and instantly have the best half court offense in the NBA...

Until his feet and knees give out.

Instead of trading all of our youth to NOP and Zion, why don’t we just bring him here?

LeBron is another top five NBA asset. I’d give up Bron and fluff for Zion. Same for AD. I’d not give up Lonzo nor Ingram due to defense being a needed commodity when hunting for championships.

Without LBJ, we need all of Kuzma, Lonzo, Ingram.

Trading LeGroin is the best move we can make. Either for AD or Zion. Build an LBJ package, Pelinka!

Then sign Leonard in FA. Done. Ball, Leonard, Ingram, Kuzma, AD (I doubt we get Zion but we should try hard). For LBJ and his jersey sales, they might just do it.

Pelicans arent trading Zion on a rookie deal for a down the hill lebron with only two years left. It isnt happening. Zion is litterally the greatest asset in the NBA due to his rookie deal and the fact he cant go anywhere for 8 years.

Um....

Unless that promise is from New York, which just means we'll still get a look at him in private workouts.

Withdrawing from draft combine just means he might not want to increase or decrease his draft stock

Ideally we’d keep the pick and just add talent via FA. I don’t think LeBron is worrying sacrificing our future anymore. I’d do 4 + one of Ingram, Kuzma, or Lonzo for AD but no chance do I go over that. Quite honestly it’s frightening to even go back into negotiations with NO given they didn’t negotiate in good faith last time.
Numbers rule the universe.
