What does this leave Lakers?
- Lauri gonna cost too much, forgot that pipe dream lol
- J. Grant = seems to be only option??
- B. Lopez = Gonna cost at least 1 pic and Is he worth trading for?
- "King" Kuzma - Just rumor talk??
What else Is there?
May be off on the money, but:
Orlando:
Wendell Carter Jr. for Vanderbilt/Reddish and future 1st (protected).
Blazers:
D'Lo and Rui for Jerami Grant (about 6M less incoming salary, which should open up tax-MLE)
Use tax-MLE on Tyus Jones.
In other words you essentially swap D'Lo, Rui and Vando for Tyus, Carter Jr. and Grant.
Lebron - Reaves - Grant - Carter Jr. - AD
Tyus - Vincent - Christie - Knecht - Wood - Giles - Hayes
Rui and DLo can score but can't defend=16th in DRTG.
Vando, Reddish can defend but can't score=15th in ORTG.
I know some here love Vando but players who can do really good things like him are being let go by their former teams bec they are such a liability on offfense. OKC already let go of their 6th overall pick and this guy can pretty much do everything good, facilitate/pass dictate tempo, super smart but...
6-9 flexible Kyle Anderson was pretty good to for TWolves and still let him walk for nothing. But my only concern is the Lakers having to give up 2 FRP's.
That is why I'm leaning towards Cam Johnson, better shooter than Grant (career 3pt%) and DFS, another solid defender who shoots 35% from 3 if they can get them for just 1 FRP.
