Deer steak sounds good. Hard to find a decent steak here in VN. Meat is imported from New Zealand, Australia, and the US and is a luxury to have.

We eat a lot of duck here. One weird dish I remember trying even growing up in the US is a Vietnamese pizza. It's pretty much duck's blood, lemon with some leaves.

We don't have apple cider. Out local liquor is fermented rice which tastes similar to Japanese sake. But the preferred drink is beer or "bia" and its usually Heineken or Tiger beer. Heineken is **** watered down beer to me. I'm a german beer drinker myself.
