Absolutely. Everyone gets what they want. :D

This is definitely worth noting. So now Jackson's workout was meh and Magic and Pelinka are in Chino right now. If the reports come out that Lonzo was great today the narrative shifts back to Lonzo being the consensus #2 and we have come back full circle.

Silly season indeed.

Except Magic wants Fultz.

I am not sure about that. All the reports and buzz for weeks was how "in love" Magic is with Lonzo. Heck he even compared Lonzo to himself. I don't know if Magic wants Fultz over Lonzo but he probably won't have a choice.

At this point, every player the Lakers have brought in has been reported to be less than stellar in their workout. To me, that comes off that they're willing to talk pick because they're not giving any indication of who they prefer.

Pelinka has unleashed the smoke monster.

Seeing these reports makes me feel like we are getting the leftovers with Ball here.

If they're that in love with him throwing in Randle is a no brainer, doubt its enough

I'm all in for Randle and 2 for Fultz.

In the article, states that: Philadelphia’s 2018 unprotected first-round pick that was acquired from the Lakers has been part of the discussions, sources said.

I think Magic being in 'love' with Fultz is to throw some noise Philly's way so they don't take Ball #1. After he was less than stellar with his (Fultz) workout in Boston, and 'murdered' his workout in LA, combined with Philly not having worked out Lonzo nor Fultz yet... it seems like the Lakers are trying to dissuade Philly now. If Ball refuses to workout for Philly, then all is well.

Of course it's this time a year Jason McLaed usually perks up with the real deal insider stuff.

No joke when I saw all the talk about smoke screens yesterday in this thread I hit google looking for his twitter to post into the thread. I kept spelling it McCloud and McLeod.

Why don't you like Futlz more?

To me Fultz is like taller DSJ, even sometimes DSJ plays better than Fultz. I just dont understand fascination with Fultz

Sixers robbed big time if the wiretap news is true, that Celtics like Josh Jackson more (weird since Jaylen is like him a lot)

Well, I really like DSJ too so to me that just yet another compliment towards Fultz.

yes he does and your name change is not fooling anyone, so I suggest when your RealGM ban is hanging by a thread, don't try to rile up the lakers board of all places.

I'm firmly of the opinion that our end game is Lonzo and has been from day 1. Rest is all noise and chatter which is just great work from Pelinka.

Also, if BOS does trade down to take Jackson that is a pretty ballsy/idiotic move to pass on Fultz who everyone thinks is a superstar. The Brooklyn pick was all we heard about all year and how the Brooklyn pick isn't part of any trade talk because of its potential in this draft and now he's just gonna trade it away for Josh Jackson of all people. Weird.

Philly sending the 3, 2018 Lakers pick, and future first for Fultz.

Philly moving Heaven and Earth if true.

Watch they take Tatum at 3. Perfect fit for Boston.

Best fit post back in early May:

More like:

Markelle Fultz - 76ers
Lonzo Ball - Lakers
Jayson Tatum - Celtics
Josh Jackson - Phoenix Suns
Jonathan Isaac - Magic
Dennis Smith Jr. - Mavs
Lauri Markkanen - T'Wolves
Malik Monk - Knicks
De'Aaron Fox - Kings

Still looks possible.

Ok, if they did that I'd give them props. Tatum (and DSJ) will be the steals of this lotto after Ball and Fultz. While I don't think Tatum will be a better player in the long run, I think he'll have a good career and he's a better fit for them than Fultz. So depending on who Ainge takes I'll consider this move brilliant... Or moronic.

It's interesting... If this isn't all smokescreen, it seems like Magic and Pelinka are going out of their way to come up with excuses not to draft Ball...

If they pass on Ball, you can't say they didn't do their HW...

So far I've got:

- Attended UCLA games, regular season and tourney
- Dinner with FO and Head Coach
- Workout #1 at Lakers facility
- Lunch with Owners
- Meeting with UCLA coaches and staff
- Workout #2 and Meeting at Lonzo's residence

More than they have done on any other prospect.

I hope whichever team ends with the Lakers '18 pick has egg on their face with a late lotto/mid first round pick.

No more per 36 talk for Russell. Time for him to really produce next year.

Return to Los Angeles Lakers
