I'd label Earl an internet sensation. These days, the internet is considered the underground. Also, mainstream artists = people you hear on radio.

i don't know about that, everyone is on the internet, sure you'll be unknown for a while but eventually things can get moving pretty fast- internet sensation is a good term

underground is where an amazing singer only plays in that one obscure club in albuquerque every night and doesn't have any of his stuff on the internet

Luckily that dj music you listen to is taking over the club scene. Rap should be on the rise, if it isn't already.

Fine with that since it's been dance music to begin with. It's getting a little more pop'ish, but whatever. I still like it.

But you don't hear Earl on the radio or see him in music videos on MTV. I think the circus about him was from circumstance. Here is a teenager that was basically incarcerated in Samoa, getting out and proving to you that it's really him and he's back. If that doesn't grab your attention then I don't know what will.

Not only that but Tyler The Creator also let it be known, so of course people are going to go check it out.

Not really seeing as most artists like that use the internet these days as a means of making themselves known. Whether it be through youtube vids or bandcamp sites.

Hip hop is a culture with four subdivisions: Tagging(Grafiti), Breaking, DJing and emceeing. The current form or 'rapping' originated in the Caribbean, and was brought to the South Bronx by Kool Herc.

every MLS game is a close game. thats what happens when you have no game changers on the pitch, at least ones under the age of 30
