Also, West has always been more enamored with Guard play rather than Bigs. He'd be more in tune with the positives of Russel over say, a Ok4 or Towns.

Still don't think there's a wrong answer in the top 3... I believe Ok4 and Russel are probably a little more 'right' than Towns, but it's very slight.

I just don't understand the over infatuation with Karl Towns. Some ESPN analyst on twitter posted "Imagine Dwight Howard with a 3 point shot". I'm like what? Dwight has double and triple jumps before Towns can make one and he's quick as a cat, which Towns is not.

Towns has skill, no denying that but he won't be launching those 3s right off the bat and he won't be clowning people in the post either. For all of Dwight's shortcomings, he's very good at establishing deep post position early in the clock and sealing off his man and unless you are surely stronger than him, its hard to stop him from scoring or drawing a foul. Ask Brook Lopez who was his bitch in a series Portland won all too comfortably last year.

The amount of hype for a guy who is really a jack of all trades without any super human athleticism appears a bit premature.

Watching the Interviews and the final four I would take Russell Over Okafor.

Okafor is not a gamer all game and crunch time from what I saw.

Justice Winslow and Tyus Jones.

Beside Towns I think is hands down #1

Russell or Winslow I would taken next

Winslow plays great D and can step up in the big game.

Okafor has a low shooting percentage and did not seem to articulate
like Towns, Russell, Kaminsky.

If it not Towns I would go Russel or Winslow.

Mudiay I have not seen enough.

We need to pick JAHLIL OKAFOR?
Why make it complicated? there are a lot of guards that can Play like D'Angelo Russell but no bigs in the NBA today got a back to the basket game like Okafor.

I understand a little about the high praise for Towns but it is just that Towns can shoot and a more Jahlil is more of an old school bigman. Athleticism? KAT is a little better too but he ain't fast enough on what they are projecting and KAT's offense is nothing compare to oKAFOR (NOT EVEN CLOSE) the defense I think they over and over exaggerated KAT's defense. Okafor got longer reach and with proper training, I think he can use those long arms and play atleast average defense.

Okafor will be the best player in this group, now and in the future, Porzingis is very intriguing but he is project then KAT, then Russell.

A lot of people are also knocking on Randle Okafor tandem, but how about Russell Randle? IDK if a Russell Randle is a good combo unless we get a DeAndre Jordan or a Marc Gasol.

to sum it up.. #JUSTPICKJAH

Russell/Randle/Deandre is just dream worthy

Easily trumps any lineup involving Okafor

Russell
Anderson
Upshaw

And signing Deandre Jordan and KJ McDaniels would get me wet and make me wake up like a fool at 4 AM to watch the damn games again

Clarkson/Russell
Russell/McDaniels
Kobe/Anderson
Randle/Black/Kelly
Jordan/Upshaw

All that youth and athleticism surrounding Kobe... call me crazy as ****, but this team would contend for the playoffs if we can get a **** break against the injuries...even as young as they are

There, now your glass house is all broke up.

Jokes aside, not sure why people put so much stock in those interviews. If these guys end up good enough to be interviewed regularly, they'll learn...

Because he's the new toy who's game hasn't been put under a microscope for the entire year unlike Okafor's. He's still a bit of a mystery. Helps that the team won 38 straight games, so it was impossible to say anything bad about their players all year even though their schedule was a complete joke compared to Duke's.

Now this is what I'm talking about! A young, athletic team that defends and is versatile. This is the type of team that is tailor made to defend G-State. The only thing about this is that I don't see Jordan as a realistic signing unless the Clippers try to low ball him. But this is the type of team we should looking to build. Don't resign scrubs like Boozer, Jordan Hill and Lin. Get young, get athletic and get versatile. I could see this team sneaking into an 8th seed based on Randle's development.

Well yeah, but I see Deandre as the sole realistic target out of the bigs .....break the bank, I don't give a ****

Instead of paying the **** max to Dragic, I'd pay Deandre in a sec
With the cap rising exponentially in the next few yrs, a max contract done now could end up quite a bargain...if given to the right player of course

Depends if you really want to put all that money into a player that is a liability on the offensive end. I personally can't do it. Not to mention his defense is vastly overrated which is reflective on the Clippers being a middle of the pack team defensively. Either way since we're likely to pick OKafor, I don't see this being a major topic in July.

He lead the league in defensive BPM and having watched the Clippers for the entire playoffs he also passes the eye test for me, I mean he totally killed Harden's efficiency by just being near the rim. His screen and roll game on offense cannot be understated, even if he is not scoring, he sucks the defense in when he dives into the paint, opening up those corner 3s. If we draft a guard like Russell, who will make his money on the pick and roll, there's no better investment than DJ in free agency.

A good scorer with range that can pass (and when I say pass I mean, better than LeBron). His defensive issues are slightly exaggarated because he had so much offensive duties that he had to take plays off on defense. He's also god huge length for a PG. Him and Clarkson could be real good combo-guard combination. Slide Kobe to SF and get Jordan. Sign defensive players and enjoy the playoffs by the time May 2016 comes.
