**** if I was a kid and Barcelona recruited me to La Masia I would be packing and ready to leave in an hour. They did break the rules so they should get fined. Will see what happens though. I don't think they'll be held up for the transfer window for this summer.

Re: CT LVII: Sponsored by the Comm Thread's Redemption
If I was a high school senior today, I would have a better grasp at what to major in college.
If I wanted to do business, I would take up some languages like Spanish, Mandarin & Cantonese, Japanese, and any other languages I felt like going into for an MBA. Business is global now and if you want to be truly successful you have to take a look at opportunities and competition around the world.
If I was just to stay in the US and not worry about running a business, I'd take up engineering. Lots of jobs in demand in that field right now.
If I was into technology, I take up programming for software development on mobile apps. It's at a high right now looking at the demand especially overseas.
As to picking which schools, depends on you. If you feel that you need that extra pride of going to an elite ivy league school, so be it. If you don't care about that stuff and are confident enough, you can go anywhere.

If you just want to program apps, you'd be wasting time and money going to college, you might as well start straight out of high school.

if you arent writing code from high school then really, you are at a huge disadvantage right now. i have a friend that's a software engineer at google, and he said that its amazes him how many people coming straight out of very prestigious universities dont know how to do basic coding.
and yeah, if youre smart enough to come up and write your own apps at a young age, going to school is a complete waste of time. unless its business school, but even then if you are good enough you'll make a boatload of money.

how is this even a question??? of course you should go, $22 is nothing for one of the hottest rappers right now. Q is a beast.
i mean with parking, drugs and stuff itll probably be like a $50 night, but thats nothing. just think about how much money you spend on an average night out at dinner or to a club. drop in the hat in comparison.

He's decent, but then again I'm pretty new to his stuff. I'm not sure why the tickets are so damn cheap if he really is as good as you say.

His stuff is decent. I'm clearly not as big of a fan as some of you guys on the board. I might go if I can get some of my homies to come along.
I agree with you. I like a few of his songs, but not enough that I would drop money to go watch him.

Computer Science degrees teach a lot of math and algorithms that are necessary if you want to do more with your degree than write apps for a store.
Naturally the college grads would run circles around high school coders in higher level architecture stuff but coding skills come from writing as much code as possible. Its almost like comparing a guy that went to college for 4 years vs Kobe Bryant after playing 4 seasons in the NBA straight out of high school.

My favorite Q track, by the way he's doing the tour with K-dot, so $22 is a no-brainer for that show.
