talk heating up about the rockets doing everything possible to get it done.

talk about them shopping scola for cap and considering just using the amnesty on him.

So desperate for a superstar. If they take Turk and Richardson, this deal is basically done.

they better hope Howard resigns or this will become one massive failure

Some Orlando guy on ESPN said he thinks Dwight will end up in LA.

I think our increase in offense is far greater than our decline on defense. I mean honestly...how much worse can we get on P & R defense?

Yeah I am getting tired of these statements. Lakers have NO "D" with Nash.

People forget Nash on any given night can drop 30 on a team. So instead of 4 positions you have to guard on the Lakers. YOU MUST GUARD ALL FIVE POSITIONS. Other teams MUST respect Nash on the move and in the half court. Something the Lakers have not had in awhile - legitimate offensive threats at each position in the starting five.

MWP is not an offensive threat as far as I'm concerned. teams just beg for him to camp at that three point line and shoot it. When he does his defender just waits for that rebound .

I really don't understand what Houston is trying to accomplish. They aren't going to contend if they get Howard so there is no such thing as a 1-year rental for them. That's an incredibly huge risk to take considering their roster is no better than the Magic's. Where is the incentive for Howard to resign?

i think if they cant get dwight to commit, then theyd flip him for bynum who said he would re-sign...

which would only work if howard decided he wants to sign with la after a season in houston. and if he does, then good for the lakers, but too bad for howard for wasting a year of his career in houston

maybe Morey thinks if he trades for Dwight, he'll still have enough assets left to entice us to give him both Gasol and Bynum? :dontknow:
2014: Randle / Clarkson
2015: Russell / Nance
2016: Ingram / Zubac
2017: Top 3 Pick? Fultz, Ball or Bust

He would be able to sign on as a FA in LA tho...we are at like 80 million in salary. Howard is only coming via trade or he isnt coming

poor bynum, 2nd choice in LA and Houston, and possibly being declined for picks and cap space in Orlando. he must be having an awesome summer so far.
