Re: The #2 Pick
Back guys after some time off and just in time for the draft!!
Picked Okafor and believe he will be great and will do so for years to come. His low post game and mainly his footwork is amazing for a man his age. To me thats a player looking to build on his craft. He does not have the explosive talent as some other athletes but he knows what he can do. I believe his defense will be better than advertised. I believe in a one on one setting he will be able to hold his own if his conditioning is down and it looks like hes made every effort to do so.
Russell kind of scares me a bit. I believe he will be good but not great. But in the age where everyone believes small ball is the new phase in the NBA i believe it will return back to a normal balance. I am a firm believer that playoff games will slow down as always as that is the biggest way to slow down these quick teams. If you throw them off their rhythm you have a chance at beating them. Anyways back to Russell, there is something about his demeanor that doesnt sit right. okay i have watched his highlights and love his creativity, and definitely love his quick release. Here is the thing i do not like there were a couple games in which he did not look at all motivated to play. I believe it was the game against Michigan state, where he was not the primary ball handler and he was playing sluggish. The only time did he look great was when they started putting the ball in his hands in the half court set and in those cases there are numerous times in which he was quick to launch a three before trying to get an offense set up. One last thing, maybe its his cockiness or his attitude, but dude was quick to put the blame on others on defense rather than man up - which to me isnt something you want to see from a leader. I do believe he is more of a scorer in the James Harden mold more so than Curry. But to me when your a guard you need to be ready to push the tempo at all times and not just when you have the rock. As a leader you need to show your team that you are ready to run all over them.

I half way want to eat the deals of MArio/Bird or McRoberts just to pick up MArio, Stein, or Frank if they are 10

Re: The #2 Pick
Cousins is awesome but I don't think he can handle the pressure of being the number 1 guy on a championship contending team. (I know I know.. Few players can handle that.)
So with Cousins out of the way I'm all for drafting Russell. I won't be unhappy with Okafor but Russell seems like the best bet going forward.
