"Ainge noted that Philadelphia's trade offer was the best Boston received for the No. 1 pick and "by a significant margin.""

There was no #2 pick plus Randle offer. Some of these rumors are just too wild... The Lakers are into adding assets and preserving their youth, core talent.

Even if there was one, the Philly offer is still significantly better than #2 + Randle.

The source stated that Magic loved Fultz workout so much he might trade Randle with the number 2 pick for Fultz.

If this is true I think it will say more about what Magic thinks of Randle than what he thinks about Fultz. I mean if he thinks that Randle makes that a tempting trade for BOS than he must think highly of Randle

This. The only way that Ainge even remotely considered the Lakers' offer was IF they felt that the Lakers were going to take his guy (Tatum or Jackson), otherwise the Philadelphia offer was the only option.

The Detroit Pistons are said to be looking to move their No. 12 overall pick, and sources have told Amico Hoops the Pistons and Lakers may have already connected.

For Clarkson perhaps?

Why would we give up a proven scorer, 6th-man-of-the-year-candidate for a 12. pick?

wouldn't call him proven, plus he's way too inconsistent. Plus The guys who will be available at 12 potentially will have better ceilings than Clarkson.

If we get Ball at #2 I'd move JC for #12 without a second thought. If the right player is available I might even be willing to give up #28 and JC for the #12 pick.

At #12 I'd draft the most physically intimidating guy available. A team has to be able to play physical ball from time to time if they're going to win in the Finals. I want a guy who scoops up boards like he has suction cups on his fingers.

Somebody will probably come up with some numbers that prove me wrong but one of the reasons GS gets away with so many deep shot attempts is the long rebounds off misses allow for second and third shot opportunities. Those MUST be limited to have any chance of stopping a team like GS. A stud rebounder/defender will pay big dividends. (If teams are not getting easy second and third shot attempts they'll think twice before launching away from 8 feet beyond the arc)

The bigger question is would Detroit do that? Does Clarkson really offer that much more than Reggie Jackson?

I doubt Detroit values JC that highly so more than likely Clarkson for #12 never happens. Stranger things have happened though.

If you want physically imposing, Jordan Bell should be there when we pick #28. One of the best defenders and rebounders in the entire draft, I think he's an ideal fit for the Lakers.

That said, I, personally, would do that deal in a heartbeat. Draft probably starts to fall off right after the #12 pick. We could get someone great there.

Unless we are using the #12 to get PG, I dont like trading away JC and #28 for the #12 pick. I have the #28 earmarked for Bell, Bradley or Ojeleye or Anigbogu if he drops. I know we get an upgraded higher pick but after top 11 (unless Collins or Markkanen is there), I dont like the others that much to move up. I would prefer to trade JC for a first rounder and draft more players without sending out our #28.
