There is a guy that is regularly walkin g around and cleaning up trash on sidewalks around here that looks just like Tyson chandler. Attempts to take a picture so far this summer have all failed.

It's an Xaviere XV-560, pretty much a semi hollow Les Paul copy. The guitarist in the band tuned me to these nice little finds. I had never heard of the brand myself and had to do some research on it. It's not a Gibson nor a Fender, but then again this guitar out performed the Fenders and Epis in my price range, which was up to $400, tops $450, I'd be saving for 3 months now. After a few plays, I'm quite satisfied. The neck feels quite awesome, the frets are well leveled, and i like the overall size of it and look.

I have a guitar I bought for $500 that just felt right. A few years later fender bought them out and my guitar is now work a couple grand. The only really mark of a guitar is how solid it is and how it sounds. The playability stuff can always be modified with a guitar tech if you have to. Pretty guitar. I like the burst.

Guitar is the one instrument I always wanted to learn, but I was so busy with everything to pick it up (was already a band nerd). I'm jealous of you fellas. Debated art over science.

Very true DD, I've learned that sometimes, some brands don't get the respect simply because they aren't badged a major brand. I always thought the only way to get a good guitar is to pay up, but these Xavieres hold up well. The one the guitarist had let me borrow was an es 335 semi hollow copy and he said he got it 5-6 years, which you wouldn't know from playing it or seeing it. Everything is still original, as he said nothing has needed to be replaced other than the usual strings and pots every now and then.

I know I made a good purchase if I'm gettin some love from DD on here, plus my guitar mentor came in unexpectedly and he got to try it out. He said it felt and played nice, so i'm quite happy. I can't wait till tonight's jam, gonna get to work on our originals with my new gui-tar. 8-)

Then you should, seriously only 15-20 mins a day will work wonders. I never wanted to learn as I felt EVERYONE and probably some animals even could play guitar so why do it too? what could I do that hasn't been bored to death? I was sooo wrong man. Guys like you should definitely learn, simply wanting to learn to play makes it much easier. Only reason I picked it up is because I had to learn a primary instrument if I wanted to be a serious musician. I learned keyboard too and still continue that, but i tried diving into guitar and quickly dropped it but once I actually wanted to learn to play, after hearing blues records, I decided this WAS for me, and since the learning has gone better. So do it gek, for all you know, you'll be funding your science through art

those f holes sold me, only thing I don't like is that you can see the wiring so I will try clean that up by opening it up and zip tying some loose cables together that way the wires aren't visible through the f holes. Also gotta do little add ons like add a coil tap to both pick ups to get that single coil sound when necessary. Ah what a fun weekend is ahead...

first baritone, then trombone, then tuba. played bass trombone as well senior year, but that's pretty much the same thing. loved playing jazz music.
