Nevermind..

2021 cap space doesn't rate anywhere close to a chance at winning a couple of rings. Get it??

Without making any moves the Lakers have a good chance at winning a couple of rings...

Are the Zach Lavine rumors real? That would be interesting.

I mean, I'm in if it were... But those kind of rumors, with no solid corroboration, that all talk about 'could' or 'maybe' just sound like ideas some dude had, rather than legit possibilities.

Lavine has been everything Kuz was supposed to be this season, although giving up Kuz AND Green is kind of a tough position to put ourselves in.

I wouldn’t think twice. He’s the same age as Kuz, yet a better shooter, more creative, athletic, and even more mature.
Danny is loved by the team, but it’s looking more and more like he won’t recover from that championship hangover.

But at the same time, why would the bulls want Green? They have no shot at the post season at this point, they're basically in perpetual rebuild mode until either Markkanen or Dunn cement themselves as the elite players they're supposed to be. They don't need a 30 something 3 and D player that's specialty is the playoffs.

In fact with Markkanen, Otto Porter JR, and Thaddeus Young, I'm not really sure why they'd want Kuz.

Zack Lavine / Marcus Morris for Kuz & Danny Green would be no brainers for the Lakers. I can't see the motivation for the Knicks / Bulls.

I say wait till Collison signs and keep Green and Kuzma. We committed to Green, it would be really fleeting and shortsighted to trade him now I would say if I were management.

This.

And, I would add for those who don’t already, study Green’s defense. All the little things he does that don’t show up in the stats, like cutting off the ball handler’s first choice passing angle, often multiple times per possession. Even when he idles through the regular season like now, he posts a +/- only surpassed by LBJ. AD is number three on our team in +/-. Green has a playoffs gear, the winning focus when it matters. He’s a clutch shooter. I highly doubt he’s on the block.

What team has a second unit with a poor 3pt %? Do they also have a defensive wing?

Let’s put Quinn Cook and Troy Daniels on the market before the ASB. Let’s see what gives. One can’t argue with elite shooting.

I sort of like Daniels' place in his spot/rotation at the moment.. I really believe this team is just in position solely for the buy out market.

5'5 is way short and will come off in the screen as way short no matter how you shoot it. I know some 5'5 guys and ive seen them in video, pictures, etc they noticeably look their 5'5 height. Tom comes off to me like more 5'7 -5'8. (My dad's range..someone not short, just looks normal in height).

Kuzma for Cruise then it is..... Would the rest of the team have to convert Scientology and L. Ron come out of hiding and buy the team?

Cruise (Mission Impossible Cruise) would play desperate and play defense much better than kuzma.

Do you think Draymond is up for grabs?

Kuz, Bradley, Cousins, Cook, THT and picks

for

Draymond and Burks

Lakers Trade:
Kyle Kuzma
Troy Daniels
Quinn Cook

Spurs Trade:
Derrick White
Damarre Carrol

Lakers get a 1 and 2 to start over Bradley. Get a 3 to guard some of these 3s that are killing us. Thoughts?

This would be a great trade if it really happens. We may still need to sign a PF to fill Kuz's role or simply put LBJ back to that spot when AD rests.

The other trade scenario I would like to see is
Lakers Out / Suns In:
Kyle Kuzma
Quinn Cook

Suns Out / Lakers In:
Mikal Bridges
Pick

Bridges, a 6'6" wing, will be a great help on D when we face strong forwards. We can then sign Darren Collison as the secondary ball handler.

Zack Lavine will be a no brainer if he becomes available

PS. Thank you, Kobe. RIP
