ROballer wrote:Would be fun to post some of the expected averages of our players, see how close/far we were.

I'd expect the following:

Giddey 14/8/8/1.1/0.5...43% FG would be ok
Scottie 17/9/4/1.3/1.1...48-50% FG
Hali 20/4/10/2/0.7. 48-50% FG... I'm not joking around, it's 20/10 or bust.
Sengun 13/8/4/1.1/1.3...48-50% FG
Wall 14/4/7/1.3/0.8...43% FG
Lebron 25/8/8/1.3/1 52% FG....I expect Westbrook to be gone, so more assisting, less scoring from him.
J. Smith 15/9/2/0.7/1.5...53% FG...I'm very high on him, will start at PF per Carlisle.
Eason 14/7/1/1.7/1.1....50% FG
Sochan 9/6/3/1.3/0.8...45% FG
Z. Collins 12/7/3/0.5/1.2.. 48-50%FG...expect him to start at some point for the Spurs, Poeltl is an expiring and will be traded
Adams 9/10/3.5/1/1...55% FG
Drummond 8/10/2/1.3/1.1....55% FG
McGee 12/8/1/0.7/1.5...62% FG...starting for Dallas, I expect a similar line like in the first season he played for us(22 mpg)
THT 14/4/4/1.5/0.7...45%FG ..will be traded, better opportunity somewhere else
Tre Jones 12/4/7.5/1.3/0.2...48-50%FG
Horford 10/7/3.5/0.8/1.2...45%FG
Holmes 10/7/1/0.5/1....65% FG...this is the current role production, if traded the output will skyrocket
McConnell 9/4/6/1.5/0.5...52% FG
Brown 10/5/3/1.4/0.8...54% FG
Watford 8/5/2/0.8/0.7....53% FG
I'll bite.

PG - Kevin Porter Jr.
18/7/7/1.5/0.5 (45%FG) should be a tempered projection, but I'm expecting more ASTS with all the weapons in Houston now

SG - CJ McCollum
25/4/6/0.8/0.2 (43% FG) considering there really isn't a pure PG in that roster and CJ could have more opportunities with the ball in his hands. FG might dip though

G - Terry Rozier
17/3/4/1.5/0.5 (44% FG) but hoping PPG will be higher because of Miles' absence

SF - Josh Hart
10/9/2/2/1.5 (50% FG) since we all know Hart will get those blue collar counting stats and won't force anything and just play off of Dame and Simons

PF - John Collins
17/8/2/0.5/1 (48% FG) is the floor I'm hoping. Efficiency should be up since DJM should provide more open looks for him. Still want those STOCKS to be up though

F - Bogdan Bogdanovic
15/3/1/0.5/0.2 (40% FG) just stay healthy, my guy

C - Nikola Jokic
25/12/10/1.0/2.0 (48% FG) or y'know, MVP numbers

C - Nikola Vucevic
15/10/4/1.0/2.0 (50% FG) with the healthy lineup. Should also be a healthy source of 3s

C - Thomas Bryant
8/10/1/0.8/2.0 (50% FG) as long as nothing is forced and he stays healthy. Another big that can give me 3s

Util - Myles Turner
18/12/1/2/3 (40% FG) in a team that will give him opportunities

Util - Jordan Clarkson
25/5/7/1.5/0.5 (35% FG) if he will be the man in Utah

Util - Luguentz Dort
15/4/2/2/1 (43% FG) with a steady role for OKC

Util - Alex Caruso
7/4/4/2.2/1 (33% FG) I'm just expecting 2/6 FGA per game lol but STOCKS should be gold

Util - Chris Duarte
12/4/5/1.5/1 (35% FG) similar to what he did during SL2021 but with sophomore slump

BN - Darius Bazley
10/10/1.5/1.5 (50 FG%) mfker just do it

BN - TJ Warren
18/7/1/0.5/0.2 (50% FG) Bubble MVP will be back. Manifesting

BN - Kevin Huerter
15/4/5/1.5/.05 (45% FG) Red Velvet has been one of the top 3&D players last year and I think he'll continue that with the Kings

BN - Immanuel Quickley
18/4/8/1.2/0.3 (40% FG) Knicks' 6th Man LFG!

BN - Mark Williams
4/7/0.5/1.2/1.5 (45% FG) just to start the year I'm hoping and should blow up eventually

BN - Christian Koloko
15/18/3/2/3 (50% FG) with the Raptors 905 lol

And I should be getting triples and a steady FT%. TOs are meh

Ok, I'm tempted too. Apologies RO for calling out your numbers earlier, as I write this I realize it's not as simple as it seems!

PG - Kyrie Irving - 30/5/7/2/0.5 (If Durant stays, 27 ppg)
SG - Jalen Williams - 9/3/3/1/0.4
G - Jalen Suggs - 15/4/4/1.5/0.7
SF - Gary Trent Jr. - 20/3/3/2/0.5
PF - Keldon Johnson - 20/7/2/1/0.5 (Should be the man in San Antonio)
F - Jalen Johnson - 6/3/1/1/1
C - Karl Anthony Towns - 27/8/5/1.5/1 (Rebs go down a bit, but 3s and scoring should go up)
C - Robert Williams - 13/10/3/1.5/3
C - Mo Bamba - 10/9/1/1/1.5 (logjam of bigs in ORL not gonna help, but his rim protection would be needed)
Util - Nicolas Claxton - 10/8/0.5/1/2
Util - Michael Porter Jr. - (Not even gonna try, just stay healthy!)
Util - Devin Vassell - 15/5/3/1.5/1

Yeah, all them **** better learn to shoot, I need all the assists I can get from Giddey.

Dirt shot 33% on 8 attemps per
SGA 30% on 5.5 attempts per
Bazley 30% on 4 attempts per.

No wonder Giddey led the league in potential assists. I need the real ones though, make those shots dammit.

Also lol at tugs projections...he was throwing 2 blocks/steals per game for every player like it's no one's business.

Josh Hart 2 ste and 1.5 blocks. =))) Seriously? Did you not see a boxscore from him ever before?

I'll laugh my ass off when he doesn't make the playoffs for the first time.

I by far have the most realistic expectations and predictions btw, I'm willing to justify every single one.

Here's my best guess:

PG - Damian Lillard - 27/4/7/0.8/.3 (43%)
SG - Mikal Bridges - 15/4/2/1/0.8 (52%)
G - De'Aaron Fox - 23/4/8/1.5/0.5 (48%)
SF - Jayson Tatum - 28/9/4/1.5/0.9 (46%)
PF - Jimmy Butler - 21/7/4/2/0.5 (47%)
F - Tobias Harris - 15/7/4/0.7/0.7 (50%)
C - Clint Capela - 12/13/1/0.7/2 (60%)
C - Chris Boucher - 12/7/1/0.8/1.5 (47%)
C - Marvin Bagley III - 14/7/1/0.5/0.5 (51%)
Util - Dejounte Murray - 18/7/10/2/0.2 (48%)
Util - Malcolm Brogdon - 15/5/5/1/0.3 (46%)
Util - Kyle Kuzma - 19/8/5/0.5/1 (45%)
Util - Cole Anthony - 19/6/7/0.8/0.5 (40%)
Util - Joe Harris - 14/4/2/0.5/0.2 (48%)
BN - Precious Achiuwa - 12/8/1/0.5/0.8 (45%)
BN - Tim Hardaway Jr. - 16/4/2/1/0.1 (42%)
BN - Ricky Rubio - 13/4/7/1.5/0.2 (40%)
BN - Brandon Clarke - 10/7/2/1/1 (60%)
BN - Nickeil Alexander-Walker 15/3/5/1/0.5 (38%)
BN - Grayson Allen - 13/3/2/1/0.2 (47%)

Bagley / Clarke / AW are the ones that could really go either way depending on roster.
I think the rest will be generally in line with what I've got barring unforeseen circumstances.

You guys are quite conservative and really neutral when it comes to your rosters projection. And I'm here for it.

But just because you're a ****, let's explain.

ROballer wrote:
Giddey 14/8/8/1.1/0.5...43% FG would be ok
Averaged 12.5/8/6.5/0.9/0.4 as a rookie....You're really NOT gonna expect him to get a little better? Get real, I was probably even underselling him.

Scottie 17/9/4/1.3/1.1...48-50% FG
15/7.5/3.5/1.1/0.7...49%. ROY. Again I envisioned a limited improvement because that's right, I'm FAIR and REALISTIC.

Hali 20/4/10/2/0.7. 48-50% FG... I'm not joking around, it's 20/10 or bust.
17.5/4.5/9.5/1.8/0.6...50% FG in Indiana last season. No Turner. Very realistic expectation for a 20/10 year, most guys have a mega jump in year 3. Doesn't even need to be mega.

Sengun 13/8/4/1.1/1.3...48-50% FG
9.5/5.5/3/0.8/0.9 in a mere 20 minutes a game last year. He's gonna start, it's the law of averages. The more you play, the higher your stats will be. If you're not Mitchell Robinscrub of course.

Wall 14/4/7/1.3/0.8...43% FG
This would easily be his worst statistical output of his career, you **** are really tripping if you don't think he can average at least that.

Lebron 25/8/8/1.3/1 52% FG....I expect Westbrook to be gone, so more assisting, less scoring from him.
No need to explain anything here.

J. Smith 15/9/2/0.7/1.5...53% FG...I'm very high on him, will start at PF per Carlisle.
13.5/7.5/1/0.4/1 ..53% FG in just 24 mpg off the bench, in Indiana last year. He's gonna start at PF and see many more minutes per Carlisle.

Eason 14/7/1/1.7/1.1....50% FG
Stat magnet. Easy money for 25 mpg of work. Will have better stats than Smith JR just like in college and SL and you can quote me on that.

Sochan 9/6/3/1.3/0.8...45% FG
Spurs are tanking this year, it's an easy stat line to get in the amount of minutes he's going to play.

Z. Collins 12/7/3/0.5/1.2.. 48-50%FG...expect him to start at some point for the Spurs, Poeltl is an expiring and will be traded
8/5.5/2.2/0.5/0.8 last year...after missing 2 years of play and in a bench role. Was better than the stats I envisioned for him in the few times he got the start and as I said above, the Spurs are trading Poeltl maybe even before the season starts.
He's exactly in the Wood scenario, expiring and not on the same timeline as the other dudes.

Adams 9/10/3.5/1/1...55% FG
Basically the exact same stats as last year except he had 7 ppg instead of 9. That's with JJJ taking away a lot of his minutes at C.
Without him in the picture, I think I was even too conservative.

Drummond 8/10/2/1.3/1.1....55% FG
Same as Adams, only that he spent most of the season backing up Embiid. I think he has a bigger chance to take more minutes from Vucevic than he ever had taking away minutes from Embiid.

McGee 12/8/1/0.7/1.5...62% FG...starting for Dallas, I expect a similar line like in the first season he played for us(22 mpg)
Basically the same line he had for us a few years ago when he started and played 22 mpg, except he had 2 bpg then.
Stat magnet per minutes, averaged 9/7/1.1 blocks in just 15 mpg last year. Easy statline if he plays 20+ mpg(will start at C per Jason Kidd)

THT 14/4/4/1.5/0.7...45%FG ..will be traded, better opportunity somewhere else
Averaged 10/3/3/1 even with Lebron and Westbrook hogging the ball all the time last year. When he's traded it's a very easy stat line to get with more usage. He might even get it for us if he's not traded.

Tre Jones 12/4/7.5/1.3/0.2...48-50%FG
I already posted his game logs from the games he started. It's basically exactly the same thing I posted above. Very realistic prediction.

Horford 10/7/3.5/0.8/1.2...45%FG
Basically a tad lower stats than he had last year. Old as ****, should still have at least a similar season left.

Holmes 10/7/1/0.5/1....65% FG...this is the current role production, if traded the output will skyrocket.
Mike Brown loves him and he apparently wants to play him with Sabonis in spurts. 10/7/1 blk is nothing in about 20 mpg, come on now. If he's traded he'll go ham in a starting role, just like he did the past 2 season before this one.

McConnell 9/4/6/1.5/0.5...52% FG
Similar stats to last year. Easy to get. Brogdon out of the picture, Hali can play at SG as well in spurts.

Brown 10/5/3/1.4/0.8...54% FG
A lower prediction from last part of the season Brown. MPJ is damaged goods, even if he's good to play he's gonna be babied all year long. Will feast cutting and getting easy looks from Jokic.

Watford 8/5/2/0.8/0.7....53% FG
Portland is deep but the SL MVP will get a shot at some point. It's not a hard statline to get this one for a guy like Watford.

Holy F that font color on my screen is just screaming

And on the contrary, I think Wall could be looking at a career high in FG%

Yahoo really is a tease! Why even open it if they weren’t going to allow drafts till the end of August?

A suggestion. How about each of us pick a player on our team, and everyone else can project their stats for the upcoming year. Caveat would be that they are not a top 10-20 player. No fun doing it for Jokic for example.

Spoiler:
Watford 8/5/2/0.8/0.7....53% FG
Portland is deep but the SL MVP will get a shot at some point. It's not a hard statline to get this one for a guy like Watford.

Really? I thought he went into the worst situation possible and lost every bit of his value when he left Brooklyn

I chuckled when you pulled your original offer. I was 100% sure we’d be doing this dance for months on end since both Murray & MPJ were going to be treated with kids gloves on a playoff bound team.

It’s just that I got caught at a weak time and gave in without demanding an arm and a leg from you

Spoiler:

Well to be fair, when MPJ and Murray play I expect his stats to dip a bit. But as I said, I expect both to be out for a bunch of games and play with a minutes restriction all year.

And I don't even know if Porter's back will hold at all.
Brown is an absolute stud slasher, was feasting in Brooklyn out of cuts and he didn't even play with a passer like Jokic out of the high post. He even shot close to 40% from 3 last year.
The rebounds and stocks were always there.

He might even play at PG from what I heard, the Nuggets are very thin back there. Brown played PG for Detroit, he can play spot minutes there. Just to bring the ball up the court, the real PG is Jokic anyway.

For an 18-20th man on your team, he's just what the doctor ordered.

A suggestion. How about each of us pick a player on our team, and everyone else can project their stats for the upcoming year. Caveat would be that they are not a top 10-20 player. No fun doing it for Jokic for example.

You can start if you want.
