I have watched Foye when he was still in Minnesota. You wouldn't want him on the team. He's basically a less confident Shannon Brown with no positive attributes. He's too small to play SG, not good enough of a playmaker to play PG, is a terrible shooter, mediocre wingspan and agility, and you can't play him strictly as a defender like you do with the likes of Bowen or Battier. I don't know if he has improved in Washington, but I can't imagine any huge improvement to his game in just one year.

How did Foye get so much love?

He isn't that young (27 next year)

He is an average shooter.

He is at best an average defender.

What does he bring to the table that makes his name come up all of the time?

Meanwhile Reddick gets dissed as a 10 mpg scrub, but look at Reddick.

Reddick is a year younger than Foye.

He is a top level shooter.

He is at worst an above average defender.

He rarely turns the ball over.

For starts we need a PG and Foye is the best we can do without trading anyone. Also if we do get Foye in a sign and trade deal then we still have the MLE to use part of it on Reddick. So you see there is much love for Foye and Reddick

You know that's just a radio host talking out of his ass right? It's pretty naive to think Lebron wouldn't try to get max years from his extension.

i know that it is a radio host...but why would it be naive if bron signs only 3 years??? he'll be able to keep Cavs management on their heels to try to keep a team around him, if not, he'll leave to another team when the contract is up.

We probably could have had the Hornet's 21st pick and drafted Collison if we took on Posey's contract, now we would probably have to trade Bynum if we wanted him (I wouldn't do that deal of course, just saying he's unavailable to us now). What a joke, maybe we will get lucky and Kalin Lucas will drop to the 2nd round and we won't sell the pick.

You can plug almost any scrub into this Lakers team and they will excel because of the great veterans here, I can't believe how apprehensive they were to take a chance on a rookie in such a PG loaded draft.

I'm sold - sign the guy already. His price tag is probably going up and up with this improvement. Orlando might just want to keep him.

I wouldn't be shocked at all if Orlando tried to hang on to him, but given a choice I'm inclined to believe he'll go with us because there's nothing more prestigious than being a starter for the Lakers. I have a hard time believing they'll offer him more than MLE (or a starting spot) since they have Jameer signed through 2012/13, so he's ripe for the taking.

Basically, we can have him if we want him, and frankly, I don't see any better options at this point. He's a major upgrade in just about every aspect over Fisher and from reading that piece he's the kind of guy that I'd want on the team.

BEST BYNUM TRADE OPTIONS

Post#194 » by The_Trade_Seer » Sun Apr 11, 2010 11:38 pm

Whether the lakers win the ship this year or not, I don't see them keeping Bynum. I believe there will be alot of interest in the kid and that Kobe, Pau and Artest, not to mention P.J. (if he's still around) will all push management to trade the kid for some star(s) now.

The above said, below are the most realistic and best trade options I have come up with for Bynum ... let me know what you think:

------------------------

LAKERS TRADE: Bynum, Walton and Sasha

PISTONS TRADE: Ben Gordon, Tay Prince and a re-signed Kwame Brown

-----------------------

LAKERS TRADE: Bynum

BULLS TRADE: Kirk Hinrich, Joakim Noah and the Bulls 1st round pick (Alabi/Whiteside?)

-----------------------

LAKERS TRADE: Bynum and Sasha

RAPTORS TRADE: Re-signed Chris Bosh

-------------------------

LAKERS TRADE: Bynum, Walton, Sasha and Shannon Brown

76'ERS TRADE: Andre Igudoula, Sam Dalembert and 1st round pick (Wes Johnson/Aldrich/Monroe?)

--------------------------

LAKERS TRADE: Bynum and Shannon Brown

GRIZZLIES TRADE: OJ Mayo, Marc Gasol, Marko Jaric and the #29 pick (Lawal/Orton?)

--------------------------

LAKERS TRADE: Bynum

T'WOLVES TRADE: Love, Brewer and #26 pick (Orton/Warren/Collins?)

----------------------------

Personally, any of those trades seem okay to me, though I like the Memphis trade best and the Bulls trade least ... and if Wes Johnson was really available in the 76'ers package that might become my favorite!

What do you think?

Good dream to have though :-) I actually think CP3 would be traded before Deron though ... would the Hornets bite on a Bynum, Brown, Sasha, Ron, cash and future picks for CP3 and Okefor deal? Maybe. Though if CP# is made available for real I expect the Knicks, Warriors and Blazers to offer the most.

Lebron would be CRAZY to re-sign in Cleveland if he wins the title this year .... NEW JERSEY would be a much better team than Cleveland with Lebron.

The Nets will in all likliehood have John Wall, Brook Lopez and Yi Jianlin manning the PG, C and PF positions, with a combo of Terence Williams (star in the making) and Courtney Lee (very solid) at the SG position. They could and probably will also trade Devin Harris and be able to sign an extra big man like David Lee or even a Marcus Camby.

Compare the above to what the Cavs will have in Mo Williams (way worse than Wall going forward), Antawn Jamison/JJ Hickosn (better than a Jianlin/Camby combo but not better than a Lee/Jianlin combo), West/Parker (way, wya, way worse than the Nets 2-guards) and Varejo (not fit to hold Brook Lopez's sneakers).

Lebron on the Nets could be a dynasty ... if he stays with the cavs, I doubt they repeat.

I don't want to see it but I think your right.Bynum will be traded and it will come back to bite us in the ASS! Have a feeling it's going to be a sign and trade for Bosh ( I'm not a big fan of his).If we can find a way to trade Ron " No Hops" Artest I'll be happy. I've never seen anyone lose their overall game so quickly.

So what Cleveland still has a better chance in winning than New jersey does.
