Gonna see Riot in a bit.

Anyone want pics? Don't know if they'd be allowed on RGM... is there an adults only section?

nice first ever comm thread by a non mod! well done sir. now to lock this badboy and start a new one. (I figure by the time I'm done typing this, we'll be at 100 pages again)

In fairness to Ryan, he was ahead of his time. At first we thought he was completely spam, but then we realized he has tri tip center....covered in spam.

Cheers to you, G=K. You are a renaissance man

What's going on Sofa! Good to see you back.

I asked Jetset to hook up the new one actually. Wasn't being accusatory, I'm glad he did.

Ryan, sucking up to J-Far won't help you become a mod. you have more comments than dramatic chipmunk and numa numa guy combined. 8-)

I'm not really sure why I have so many comments ;). All I suffer from is extended spurts of boredom and the occasional crappy thread caused from intoxication and I've only been suspended once or something. I'd bet 90% of my comments are a few years old or come from the OTB and there have to be some rap sheets on some of those moderators profiles (or at least their should be, that's such an incestuous group that I've pissed off occasionally). I really want to read my comments though.

Long story. I was fine in Florida. Then my father suffered a stroke a little over 2 months now. I have not seen my father in 6 years since. Within 3 days I came to SE Asia. Took care of my dad and he is recovering nicely.
Found out I really loved being here in Vietnam. Decided to look for a job and ended up with two companies.
I bought my father a plane ticket, and he flew back to California after being away for so long; he filed for early retirement and disability. Now, he's currently in Florida after finishing up the paper work in Cali. This is his chance to reconnect with all his brothers and sisters in the US. I hear he is doing well now.

Professionally, I am as happy as I can be. I remember the day I left California, I was ready for a new adventure. Things happen for a reason and I can't believe where I am right now. Life is funny that way.

Hope all is well for you man. You still in Santa Barbara? I have to visit there some day. I have a nice lady friend waiting for me there; she goes to UC Santa Barbara. No idea when that would be though. ^_^

Anybody still on campus at UCSB? I'll be at storke tower tonight.

Must be quite an adventure to move back to Asia and work there but I assume that must be hitting your pockets pretty deep unless they are paying you in US $.

Actually, I never been to Asia before. This is actually the first time I ever been outside the US.

I work for two international companies; would never think of working for a local company here. One is in commercial real estate, and the other, is administrative office work. So yeah I get free rent and a nice salary with potential for more if our projects are complete. I get to work at home in my home office and only go to the real office if I need to see a client or do a presentation.

One day soon, if things pick up, I'll definitely be traveling more to Beijing, Hong Kong, and other cities in South East Asia. So I'm here for the long haul unless some war breaks out with VN and China or all 20+ projects I'm working on go down the tubes.

The food here is definitely good. It's even better that it cost the fraction of you normally pay in California. I had a nice dinner the other night and took 4 of my friends out. I think the total bill came to under $30 which is a lot for VN standards, but cheap when you compare to the US.

Literally, there are decent places to eat Pho for $1 or $2 at some good restaurants. The stuff on the street is like $0.25 or less and some of it is the best in town.

Only gripe on food is that good quality beef is hard to come by. Some of the food in Little Saigon in Orange County is actually better to me. It's also cleaner.

But there are really expensive US priced restaurants here. Only go there if I need to impress a client or have some business meeting. Otherwise, I cook at home and know what I'm eating.

And it doesn't hurt that 70% of the population is in their 20's and there are women everywhere I go.

I'll check out the web cast if I'm awake. Its 3:30 AM here right now.

I almost accidentally killed myself today. I got shocked to the point where I flew back and fell down. Silly Ryan!

hey some of you guys are from california, has anyone ever heard of a company called Red Frog Design?

they offered me a job as an accounts receivable person last week, but it said right in the description of the company that its a multi-level marketing company (which are kind of sketchy)

the short version is: is Red Frog Design a legitimate, good company?
