That wouldn't work, though, would it? You have to bring back comparable salary. Either way we end up in the same spot. We're trading Russell for about $40 million in space and a 1st. Not sexy at all, and a big risk with the LeBron piece -- George seems like a given at this point -- but that's the plan.

All you need is a team with cap space who can absorb that salary or send us expiring back. For a talent like Russell it wouldn't have been hard to find.

I might get killed here, but I'm not mad actually. I was really high on DLo, but, personally, I just don't see him as a winning player in this league. I think Magic saw the same in him. I think he has maxed out as a player, and will only improve on the margins. Could be totally wrong, but I've soured on him a lot. I don't think he could ever be the third best player on a contending team.

Either way, I wish him well.
