Another proven scorer will work well with LeBron.

Lakers would be signing him for the name. They need shooters.
Deebo is one of the most reliable mid range shooters in the game and not a streaky hot and cold shooter like Dlo. It's like you are clueless on players or act like one. It would be a great fit.

Since he hasn't played with LeBron yet, it's up in the air if he can or not. Just ask Beasley and Brandon.

He's an iso-scorer that lives in the midrange, it's a bad fit from a spacing standpoint.

how come he covers all the minutes for a center, for a small forward and a point guard at the same time?

Because Hayes and AD are the true 5s and the Lakers have 3 guys who can play PG between LeBron, Reaves and D'Lo. It means you can shift everyone else up or down depending on the other pieces. LeBron has played center in the occasional pinch as well,

I wonder if the Lakers would even hang on to Reaves and D'Lo if they got Demar. That's a lot of mouths.

Not saying it’s a no, just genuinely curious.
Deebo is a UFA this offseason and can sign with any team for any amount. He can accept the MLE for the Lakers. Not every player only cares about money like you might.

https://www.spotrac.com/nba/player/_/id/6327/demar-derozan

He already rejected 2 years 40 mill per. While sure he might take less for a better situation, but he's not taking MLE. But of course, an S&T can probably be worked out

Guy doesn't realize neither LeBron or AD are floor spacers. He thinks because DeMar can shoot mid range means he can fit smh.

He's just taking up space because LeBron and AD also need those mid range shots because neither a going to be camped out at the 3pt line to watch DeMar iso.

Having DDR who is an Ironman would help the Lakers avoid the play-in since AD and LBJ usually miss a fair bit if games.

They literally have almost all of their picks for the next decade + young cost controlled players at above minimum salary + one of the league's best two-way players. People need to stop parroting that they're asset-starved.

Do they have enough to get a megastar in a trade? They fall just short of that. But so does like 2/3 of the league.

Any evidence to back this up ? I couldn’t find any. The FG attempts and EFG% points me in the favor of Steph but I would be happy to be corrected if I’m looking at this wrong :) .

LBJ would loave DeRozan there-he would eat minutes/possessions in the RS. His 3 is getting better, and he'll improve it a bit more next season. If LBJ can keep shooting the 3 like he did this year, it works.

Rui would be the obvious piece in a sign-and-trade, plus either DLO (ouch for Chi) or GabeV (also ouch)-Lakers would have to put the rights to their pick (I assume NO will postpone the pick until next year) or maybe JHS to get the Bulls to bite

I like Rui/PWill as our forwards, and let Lavine be 1st option to restore his value

Lebron/AD/DD is just the worst spacing trio ever since Rondo/Butler/Wade in Chicago… ah heck why not I can use a good laugh. Do it Jeannie Buss.

Without Dlo or Rui, Lakers don’t make the playin. Not even close.

Good luck tho

Might as well.go there to underachieve and be slandered.

DDR is a quality player but in that cesspool of bandwagon unintelligent fans he will be vilianized when things don't end with 14 titles.

Don't think he would go there for the peanuts Lakers would offer, but maybe a sign and trade DeRozan to Lakers for Reaves to Bulls could work, or Hachimura if the Bulls would want him. He is sometimes called the Japanese Jordan after all.

How come nobody has commented on how valuable his defense would be next to AD and Vanderbilt?

DDR can switch to guard 2-4, Vando can switch to guard 1-5, so can AD. Add our 6’6” budding PG JHS and SG Christie who both have the size and foot speed and willingness to guard multiple positions, too.

Defense.

That combined with adding another certified reliable clutch scorer means we have a good shot resting Bron, and hiding his lackluster regular season defense.

Any coach who runs the triangle would love that trio. Spacing won’t be a problem if the coach has a brain. Play inside out. The young guards will have open threes all night long every night if they actually utilize the post up abilities of DDR and AD. LBJ knocks down his threes, too.

The MLE? That would be the steal of the century. I doubt he’d do that unless he really misses home.
NBA titles since the merger: LAL 11, CHI 6, BOS 6, SAS 5, GSW 4.
