WOW , so what are you saying that he SUKS more than Kwame ?
Then why are we going after him , if he has no offense or rebounding?

I agree. Why not this guy? Why bring in another scrub who averages like 1 point per game?

I'm not familiar with the guy, but I honestly don't think anyone can be worse than Kwame.

Insurance in case Kwame Brown doesn't turn the ball over enough.

Seriously, I have no idea. Say what you want about Webber but at least he provides crisp passing and points down the block.

I never heard of this guy but I know Elton Brown can play. Tex also likes him. He is even cheaper. I would cut Coby or waive him or whatever and get Brown and Webber. The other guy I never heard of.

We need to sign someone fast. I can't understand why Webber wouldn't want to play for us. Its not like he's getting more money or have a better shot at a ring than us. Even when Bynum comes back he'll be playing ahead of Kwame.

Webber hasn't played since last March.

if the NBA were a halfcourt game, then I would agree.

i think as of now we are screwed regardless of who we get until Bynum comes back.

Kwame, pick for Haslem!

the Heat get cap relief and a pick. Kwame and J-Will is like 17 million off the books

Also Webber is undersized AND slow for playing center in the west.

He wants more money? At this stage what is a mill to him? He has already had 2 huge contracts and isn't even playing now. He should just sign for what we offer although we should offer the 2.6 million dollar exception we have from the Ariza trade.

My fellow Lakers Fan, we should try to trade our first round and Kwame for Jeff Foster. Ofensively he is as bad as kwame but defensively, he is beast. He is top 3 in offensive rebounding rate and very good defensive rebounder. I would love him here. Duncan even said he is the best post defender in the league.

I saw on realgm.com that the Knicks turned down Artest for Nate and Balkman. If that is true then what the hell is Mitch doing? Artest is not a Center but he can make up what Andrew left behind in a way by being that other allstar. Plus if the Kings were willing to take Nate and Balkman there is no way they would turn down Critt/Ariza/ and maybe Radman or Kwame and we get some other salary to.
Artest can give us so many things Bynum gave us and be the missing piece when Bynum gets back.

Artest gives us

1.Low post D
2. Second scorer that you can just throw it into
3. Gives Kobe a break cause he can score 20
4. A consistant second option besides Odom

Maybe he just might be the answer. Hell I think we can have Mihm be our starting center and we can keep our position if we had Artest and then when Bynum got back we would be the best Laker team since Magic and Kareem and arguably better.

Seems like this has more and more legs...

While rumors have circulated that the Lakers may be interested in signing Chris Webber, Jackson seemed uninterested in adding the 14-year veteran.

"I think Chris is an accomplished offensive player," Jackson says. "My concern as always has been defense and rebounding, and that's a part of the game that has passed Chris by."

Signing Webber would be ideal when stopping the Suns' high-octane offense. The way we play, his passing and IQ would be excellent for us.

He's from the Congo. His name is actually Didier Ilunga-Mbenga.

But to answer your question: the guy who averages 1.3 ppg, 1.1 rpg during his four year career.
