What measurement are you using to grade Matt Barkley?

My opinion. But it's not like he has a poor QB rating or anything, like I said, last year he was right on par with landry jones. I dont know enough about football stats (or care tbh) to judge him further.

i have no idea why you would use his true freshman season as an example. its like looking at Lucks numbers from 09 and trying to get a feel for how good he is and will be.

barkley had a 141.2 rating, 63% completion rate, and 7.4 YPA last year.

landry jones (who i was comparing him to) was at 146.3, 65% completion rate, and 7.6 YPA.

i know enough about basic football stats to tell that Barkley is pretty good. my knowledge of these stats and any advanced football stats, in comparison to basketball, is extremely limited, but still...

I was watching the VMA's and he won some award. I think its one where the fans directly vote on it. I had never heard of him so I looked him up on youtube. I was like wow....is this what the people voted on. :noway:

IMO its pretty disturbing.
