How about Gasol, Blake, and Ebanks for Kirilenko, Williams, and Barea?

And I don't trust a Dwight/Jamison/Hill/Udoh FC. Ideally if we trade Pau, we need one starting caliber PF back, with another solid bench guard/wing man. The starting Caliber PF can split minutes with Jamison at the 4, and Hill could backup Dwight.

You really think all three of those guys would share the court at the same time? If not, I'm not sure how you could think ball-dominance is that huge an issue. I would think Kobe's silenced doubts of him being able to play with other guards who own the rock after last year, the Olympics, and the preseason with Nash, but I guess old myths die hard. Similarly, the Ellis/Jennings backcourt in MIL suggests what you're saying isn't true. In fact, since Ellis joined the Bucks, they've enjoyed one of the fastest, most prolific offenses in the league, with a ORtg of 105.3. If that doesn't suggest he'd flourish in D'Antoni's offense, I don't know what will. It certainly isn't like those D'Antoni-led Suns never had more than one ball-dominant guard in them (Joe Johnson).

As far as the frontcourt goes, I'm not sold on Udoh either, and at worst, LA could instead add Dalembert, Sanders, or even Ilyasova. But in the time Udoh's shared the court with Ellis, he's cleaned up his team's defensive woes nicely. Before the Warriors packaged him with Ellis, he gave them a net improvement of +8.2, with 8 rebounds and 2 blocks in limited minutes. In MIL, their best lineup of Jennings/Ellis/Dunleavy/Udoh/Sanders saw them limit teams to 101 points per 26. Ironically, the only thing they lacked at this point was a strong, defensive-minded center and they traded away. Conclusion: Howard would love him.

It's not the sexiest trade in the books and you're not going to get two -- or worse, three -- starting-caliber players for the price of one. Sorry. But who's to say the FO wants a starting PF back for Gasol anyway? I'm not sure I believe they are, the more I look at it. There's more desirable names at the 4 in FA then can be had in a trade.

i quite like udoh but he has never played enough minutes to show he can sustain his impact. also his offense is pretty awful. like non existent bad. but yeah defensively on a per minute basis, hes one of the best imo.

Pekovic off the bench doesn't make sense for the Wolves. Kirilenko is also penny wise one of the most efficient contracts in the league

Yeah but its only one more year and its a player option. He will most likely renounce it if he can get a 3 year deal from someone, which is kind of flexible than committing 36 mil to Pau for a couple of years.

Hey guys the Lakers are in win mode now, and you all need shooters. Miami have Lewis, j Jones, and mike miller. If your coach going to keep hill on the bench, then this trade work for both. Don't know money wise add up, but these are proven players that have playoff experience.

We don't deal with Miami. Unless it is Hill for Allen.

Millsap - Mo Williams - Raja Bell

for

Gasol

Millsap has a $8.6 cap hold, Mo has a $8.5 that equals $17.1, we then do you the favor of buying out Bell out of his $3.5 deal for $2.5, and you pick up the last $1M.

That way you ship out $19M and take on $18M saving $2M in total.

More importantly you get a 3pt shooting PG/SG who is playoff and finals tested. Raja give you a guy that knows the system and brings a toughness your team lacks right now. And Millsap is the perfect compliment to Howard, and he actually has added a 3 pt shot this year.

Depth, Depth, Depth to help at PG, SG, and PF!

This makes sense for both teams IMO.

Gasol makes sense for Utah but Mo Williams is their only competent PG. I wonder if they have any interest in taking Steve Blake and dumping out Marvin Williams.

I think most Jazz fans would prefer MO stay and Marvin go for the PG reasons, but not myself. Either way Millsap/Mo or Millsap/Marvin is sufficient value for the Lakers that we don't need to take on Blakes extra year.

- Denver gets Pau
- Atlanta gets Wilson Chandler and Jordan Hamilton
- Lakers get Brewer, Harris, Korver, and Mozgov

Here it is on the trade machine:

http://espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=d52puwz

Or you could make it a 4-way and send Korver + a future 1st from DEN and ATL to NOH and have Ryan Anderson go to the Lakers.

Nash/Harris
Brewer/Meeks
Kobe/Artest
Anderson/Jamison
Dwight/Mozgov

Question: how the hell do you propose we make space for all those guys? Just because it goes through on the Trade Machine does not mean it's a valid trade.

Because they don't want to have to re-sign both of them and they think gasol will return to the Allstar he was

I thought they might... That's why I proposed this...

Kilroy wrote:Playing around I came up with:

LA In: Millsap/Bell/Udrih
LA Out: Pau/Duhon

Utah in: Pau/Dalembert/THarris
Utah out: Millsap/Bell/AlJeff

Bucks in: AlJeff/Duhon
Bucks out: Dalembert/Udrih/THarris

LA get's Millsap and Bell who we're supposed to like, and a solid backup point in Udrih while shedding some salary. (all expiring).

Utah gets Pau and Dalembert to replace AlJeff and allow Kanter some time to develop plus a solid SF prospect in Harris, while not adding a lot of long term salary and avoiding buying out Bell. All of their outgoings were expiring anyway, and I don't think they had interest in retaining any of them.

Bucks get a legit C in AlJeff and a backup PG in Duhon without taking a long term salary hit. Obviously contingent on Jefferson being willing to re-sign there.

It's kind of a ho-hum trade for us though, and maybe for them outside of the chance to get out from under AlJeff.
