Gotta trust that Mitch and co. will do their due diligence in evaluating these top 5 talents in private.

It's not all bad. Russell or Winslow will both be excellent complementary players to Melo.

Sixers will probably take Russell over Mudiay. I'm not sure if Mudiay will excel in the triangle offense. You guys would know.

So in that case there is a chance Knicks trade their pick?

Great news for the city of L.A.! Whether it's Towns, Okafor, or even Russell it's a good start.

I can't see us passing up on Okafor/Towns. For three main reasons and one speculative reason: Laker tradition, big trade asset for a team with a player like Cousins who will want to replace him sooner than later, we need a 5 as this roster is currently constructed and lastly, but probably irrelevant: Russell Westbrook.

Don't outsmart yourself. Okafor or Towns, which ever one is available.

Well I think Towns is #1 all day long. Okafor is too similar to Pek and they have Rubio. They would have to be giant on Russell to take him.

So now i really don't know between Okafor or Russell.

Gotta think Philly loves Mudiay because he's a project with upside.

NY is actually looking good with either Okafor or Russell I would think.

Now we can focus on getting Jimmy Butler or an elite wing. I am sure we will draft well at 27 and 34. I am so stoked right now. We are BACK!

We technically cannot since we already traded away our 2016 pick. We will have to make the pick first before doing the said trade. I think the option of trading the 4th pick will be explored.

I agree with this. Either way I'll be happy with either Russell or Okafor at 2 so tonight is really a huge win.

Whenever percentages are so low in cases like this, with your team you always bet on the field.

I expected the Lakers to keep their pick, but didn't even remotely think they would jump up. In the Knicks case, +/-2 is totally to be expected. I wouldn't be too down, 4th is still a great pick, anyone in the top 5 could be ROY.

Hell, I was preparing my bunghole for 5th and was going to be happy getting it

Wolves really couldn't give a crap about Pek. Only untouchables on that team are Rubio, Wiggins, Lavine and the #1 pick. They do like Okafor a ton and Flip is an old school coach who values skilled post players so it wouldn't surprise me if one guy gets picked ahead of the other between Towns/Okafor.

Love that we got #2 but how do you see Okafor meshing with Randle?

I'm worried it will be a layup line on the defensive end. I kinda prefer Russell but don't think there is any way we pass on Okafor.

Good that the Lakers got the #2 pick, but in some ways they'd have been better served with the #3. I feel like the Lakers are going to default to Okafor, since the Wolves have every reason in the world to take Towns, and I'm not at all sold on Okafor's ability to play a star role in the modern NBA. Meanwhile D.Russell will likely go #3 to Philly, the team who badly wanted him, and who I think has a much better prospect of being a star.

I don't know enough about Mudiay to make a fair assessment, but he seems like more of a project player than the other guys in the top 5. What I do know is that Winslow and Russell are both high IQ basketball players, and that's exactly what Phil is looking for to run the triangle.

Regardless of what happens 1-3, the Knicks will end up with a solid player that can help them immediately. I'd be fairly satisfied if I was a Knicks fan.

We could otherwise hold Philly hostage and trade a pick down if they really want Russell.
