Because they don't want to have to re-sign both of them and they think gasol will return to the Allstar he was

Utah in: Pau/Dalembert/THarris

Bucks in: AlJeff/Duhon
Bucks out: Dalembert/Udrih/THarris

LA get's Millsap and Bell who we're supposed to like, and a solid backup point in Udrih while shedding some salary. (all expiring).

Utah gets Pau and Dalembert to replace AlJeff and allow Kanter some time to develop plus a solid SF prospect in Harris, while not adding a lot of long term salary and avoiding buying out Bell. All of their outgoings were expiring anyway, and I don't think they had interest in retaining any of them.

Bucks get a legit C in AlJeff and a backup PG in Duhon without taking a long term salary hit. Obviously contingent on Jefferson being willing to re-sign there.

It's kind of a ho-hum trade for us though, and maybe for them outside of the chance to get out from under AlJeff.[/quote]

On a Business standpoint, I would like to get Al Jefferson shipped for a young-in

My Idea is....

LA In: Millsap/Bell/Donatas Motiejunas or Patrick Paterson
LA Out: Pau/Duhon/Earl Clark

Utah in: Pau/Duhon/Earl Clark
Utah out: Millsap/Bell/AlJeff

Houston in: AlJeff
Houston out: Donatas Motiejunas or Patrick Paterson

Please tell me if this does not work... I am under the assumption that because houston is underneath the Cap, they can swallow a contract the size of Al Jefferson, Right or wrong?

Apparently, the Ryan Anderson rumor has some legs, but as expected, the interest is so far one-sided.

LARRY SANDERS and Ersan Ilyasova!

Post#226 » by thegamefritz » Tue Dec 4, 2012 10:48 pm

Lakers can trade Pau Gasol and as much as I hate it but DANTONI is not using him Jordan Hill for Larry Sanders and Ilyasova!!

Bucks will do it! they can get Pau and Pau can get his game back coz he'll be the main option in the post! Jordan Hill is a monster if he'll have PT

Lakers-can get Ilyasova who's a big that can space the floor and can run.. and Larry Sanders who has been a monster lately!!!

What you guys think??

Would there be any combination of Bucks players/assets with the exception of Sanders, Jennings, Henson, Lamb, 1st rounder that Lakers fans would trade Gasol for? Do you think the two teams could be trading partners with any other players, 2nd rounders, cash involved?

Lakers lose/Milwaukee gets: Gasol, Blake, Ebanks
Lakers get/Milwaukee lose: Ilyasova, Udrih, Dunleavy, Gooden

Milwaukee gets their starting PF in Pau, a legit post presence that they sorely miss. they also get a decent back up PG in Blake who can mesh well with their ball dominant starting guards. they don't have much wing depth and bench instant offense with Dunleavy's departure but I can't think of any player from the Lakers who can provide that.

Lakers get Ersan, a big that can space the floor for Dwight and fits in nicely with Mike's fast paced and 3 heavy scheme. Dunleavy can add more offensive punch from the bench and Udrih will just be Blake's replacement but unlike Steve, can give you that consistency. Gooden fills in just for the salary.

PG - Nash/Duhon/Udrih/Morris
SG - Bryant/Meeks/DJO
SF - MWP/Dunleavy/Clark
PF - Jamison/Ilyasova
C - Howard/Hill/Sacre

I think it's a balanced line up but has definitely regressed due to the loss of Pau.

It was on the WT earlier. Though why you want a source baffles me. All trades are rumors/speculation until they're not, no matter who the source is.

Warriors might consider a David Lee + Richard Jefferson for Pau + Steve Blake deal.

What you think?

Jazz fan here:

I still think the only deal that works is one of these two:

Pau

for

Millsap/ Raja/ and either MO Williams or Marvin Williams.

Josh Smith will not be done, Atlanta has no incentive.. they want Josh to lure Dwight away from you guys.

The Jazz are perfect trading partners.

Your own fans agree: http://www.silverscreenandroll.com/2...-even-possible

Not sure a trade is what the Lakers need... And if we do, I'm not sure who we should go after.
We don't need a stretch 4... We need defensive minded, athletic players at multiple positions that can stretch the floor.

Of the trades I've seen so far, the Utah one seems to fill those needs the best.

Kevin Durrant is the best WNBA player in the NBA!
