I get it... Not blaming him for not realizing this but that much damage and flame pretty much indicates the tank has already ruptured... It's not going to blow. Plus what you see in the movies rarely happens... Large fireballs are created by pressure. Gas tanks aren't that sealed. Also, gasoline is much less explosive than say Diesel.

But still, if it was going to blow, If you're close enough to get a bitchin video for YouTube, you're close enough to get seriously hurt. Either put the camera down, call the cops and get the **** away, or put the camera down, and see if you can help.

Nothing could make me stand there and watch the car burn if there was someone in it with a reasonable chance of survival.

That said, I read some articles that said the initial impact was with a telephone post on Walker's door. So he probably died on impact, but still... There's something wrong about just standing around filming a car burn with people inside.

Some of those sports cars aren't just running on regular gasoline, instead they use a mixture of nitro-methane and methanol.

I don't have much understanding of the combustion difference but I would not be surprised if they were stored at a higher pressure and therefore become more of a hazard.

It was a street car... They might have had higher octane fuel in it but probably not nitro methane... That's mostly for drag cars in that it's a short-fast burn and will destroy and engine if used for any significant distance... it idles like **** too.

They said the fuel sell ruptured on impact... What you're seeing in the video is the fuel that sprayed all over burning. And what pops is a tire.

But again, I don't blame them for being scared, I blame them for acting scared but getting close enough to check it out and film it.

Pretty sure the guy that did that would have a season and possibly career ending injury the next play... Not sure how those guys take that and continue to play like nothing... Also, why don't any of them wear cups?

Well it helps that we got back to Houston weather today. Feels good to be 78 in the winter when the rest of America is freezing their balls off!
