I suspect we will ride the 5 spot experiment out until we can see what Wagner has or we make a move for a vet big.

Greetings Lakers' fans. It looked pretty rough to me when McGee sat. It seems like a lot to ask out of James and Kuzma. They make great small ball 4s though so far.
In '03-'04, Jerry Sloan coached the ESPN predicted "worst team of all time" to 42-40.

Lonzo at point, Hart at shooting guard, Ingram at SF, Kuzma at PF, LeBron at the 5. Quit the BS and play the veterans off the bench and situational substitutions.

What has Lonzo done to deserve to start? And why would Lebron be the 5 over Kuz?

We need better rebounding and 3 point shooting, but above all, better defense.
I think the team will gel offensively.
I’m worried about our defense.

100% Agree ... Even though it's great to win and all, having old farts in your starting line up isn't the best, we need to have our youth out there - experience is great and all, but we need that for the playoffs

Starting line up should be

5) Magee < > spelling?
4) Bron
3) BI
2) Hart
1) Ball

I might even go as far as putting Kuzma and the 3 spot and have BI play the 2? but we never the less we need to have youth in the starting lineup and have the vets helping out 2nd unit - Rondo even said he was happy to come off the bench, so why can't he?

Bright spots:

Defense. Yes the defense. We gave up 128 points because we play at a very high pace. It is a tradition one scrub torching us (last night was the Lithuanian guy)
Interior scoring. I love to see how good our team is at attacking the basket.

Dark spots:

3pt shooting. Yes, it is a huge concern. We may need to play Svi, Mo and Beasley to fix it.
FT shooting. Again, we all expected that.
Rebounding. Kuzma at C won't work, we need a back-up C inmediately.

It wasn't a bad game. We need time and they play their hearts out everytime they see a purple and gold jersey, it is their particular "final" of the season. Let's move on and let's get the W vs the Rockets.

Would like to believe it was just a bad shooting night for us and defense does need to get better, a lot better.

Our early schedule is really, really hard. We must get the home wins at all costs.

One game. We’re all probably reading too much into all of this game. The young will settle, start making their shots.

I will say one thing, though. Get Noah, dump Lance.

Cause we're not tanking. We're trying to win games to make the playoffs, that's why you start your best players and Lonzo showed nothing to help his own cause. Ingram at least had the 3rd quarter, Kuzma had that bit in the 4th, Lonzo had absolutely nothing.

No more coddling them, they want to start for this team, they better prove they belong out there.

We have a saying in Portland: there are only 3 certainties in life, death, taxes, and the Blazers beating LA in the Rose Garden. :D

16 straight wins.

It's ok. I'd still trade all those super important regular season wins for those wins portland allowed us when we won in 2000, like game 7. But I guess we all know playoffs just aren't really the Portland Trailblazers' deal since they won as many playoff games last year as our rebuilding team.

on the flipside, we can't possibly shoot this bad again the rest of season.

I know it is only 1 game but Hart needs to start over KCP... He is a better shooter, driver and rebounder than KCP, he was our best long distance shooter last night...

I was also not too happy with Ingram’s shooting, which, including the bank shot, he was 2 for 8 in the first half plus missed both free throws...

I am going to catch crap for this but I would love to see Ingram on the second unit with Lonzo & have Hart & Kuzz space the floor for Rondo & LBJ...

McGee was a stud last night & we weren’t the same with him on the bench... He is a shot blocker...

- Josh Hart needs to start. He's worked harder than KCP, is a better player in every area, and has earned it. This is not news to most Laker fans.

- Need a backup C. When Evan Turner is driving to the rim at will and nobody is there to block his shot, you know there's a problem.

- get rid of Lance. No idea why he's on this team.

That's BS... I vividly remember the "Kobe" game. Last game before he tore the achilles. We won that one.
Considering we play twice in the Rose Garden, 16 straight would mean 8 years. That game wasn't 8 years ago.

Yeah, we rarely win there but we haven't lost 16 straight either.

it's not 16 straight at the Rose Garden it's 16 straight overall... last win for the Lakers against Portland was 2013-14 season... Kobe did not play in that game
