I am looking at the free agency pool and it's insane how many quality players are left unsigned. Those types that could've easily flourished during the 90's and early 2000's

I'm waiting to get some GTD's to add some more. Should be plenty during the training camp/preseason.
With the IL+ on board, I can easily see carrying 25 bodies at all times.
When you get a guy back you can easily slot another GTD in his place, thus not having to drop anyone you like.

Samanic is not an NBA player. Jaxson Hayes is a crossed eyed felon and that's about it. He's playing the wrong sport, should be a volleyball player.

Geez optms. I thought my trade was bad.
Deep into that darkness peering, long I stood there wondering, fearing, Doubting, dreaming dreams no mortal ever dared to dream before;

Re: Award Winning Lakers Board NBA Dynasty League - Year 8
It's fair because of the age of Lebron and the shutdown prospect.
I offered a package as well but from my perspective, I'm a guy who's trying to make it in. Lebron would've helped me tremendously in that early on. I only thought about him helping me making it, not about what he'll do(rather won't) once I got there.
If I had a stacked all in their prime team like tugs has, basically a guarantee to make the playoffs(he always made it, all of the years we had), I would've NEVER made the deal.
Not necessarily because of his age, but because he's not going to see a game in the potential week 23.
You need to think all of the things through. All of them.
I'll bet my left nut Lebron is going to miss games during weeks 21/22 and will not see a game in week 23 when it's the Finals(if he gets there). It's just the way it is. If we're relatively healthy this year, there's no way we'll fall behind in the standings for him to push himself during those weeks.
Every single contender is resting players before the playoffs, every year. We're not going to be an outlier.

..but at least he gave out one scrub and one prospect in return, so he won't be crying as hard in the playoffs after he inevitably pulls a Lakersgm.

Yep, I'm ready for that shutdown as well. It's basically the norm with every fantasy leagues. That final stretch where we find diamonds in the rough to help us win the chip. Finalists have been, for the most part, equals until that latter weeks. That's when GM scouting for potential breakouts and assessing schedules come in to play.
Haha and yeah before I made the offer I was contemplating on the what could be's. I've turned Oladipo, Wood, and #10 pick to #8 and LeBron James. It isn't as sexy on paper, could bite me on the ass, but then again with how stacked LA is those DNPs could turn to 20-25mpgs instead who knows. Fingers crossed.

Re: Award Winning Lakers Board NBA Dynasty League - Year 8
Christian Wood is the biggest stat bitch in this world.
Never EVER has he earned a thing. Dropped like a **** dollar on a stripper's thong every year, until a team finally took pity on his sorry ass, he must've begged really hard.
Put on some empty stats while losing every damn game, proceeds to fool a team getting him a dime and losing all the games some more with his ass playing.
My boys Sengun and Martin Jr. will make his ass so expendable, he won't even get a job in Romania who barely has a basketball league to begin with.
If Detroit didn't want to tank likes some mofos, he'd be flipping burgers at McDonalds right about now. Half the league already dropped his ass before that.

Welp isn't that what we want though? Stat bitches?
Advance metrics would show win-loss contributions by a player but really, which player in recent memory has been benched while producing solid numbers for his team because metrics showed he's a net negative for winning basketball games?
