Embiid seems like a dude that talks a lot of noise behind a computer but in real life he'll stay quiet.

I wonder what Philly's front office is going to think of this. That type of bad publicity with their players isn't exactly going to go down well.

Indiana trading and drafting to avoid taking the Lakers draft picks (minus Ball)?

I think if anything, the Sumner deal is probably them going young. Furthermore they need a 2 (Hart) and even Kuzma could fill a need there (different from Leaf).

Oh man, I am thrilled we got Lonzo Ball, but I'm ehhh on the rest of the guys considering the talent that was still available. Still, we got some of the most statistically efficient players in the draft. Kuzma is actually a really impressive rebounder who can stroke the ball from the 4 spot. Hart is a seasoned college player who was the #1 player in the kenpom rankings. A guy that had a 122.3 ORtg on 28.7%shots, pretty impressive. Very well rounded player with NBA ready body. Thomas Bryant is a lumbering big who is soft around the edges. He is a project big with elite length, good shooting touch, and a bright G-League future.

not sure why Ike fell down so much. Maybe the youngest player in the draft with elite measureables. I realize he's a project but still.

I would have easily taken him over the other project we draft, Bryant. Ike has a little nasty in him, just not sure the basketball IQ is there. He had potential to be a rim running, rim protector though. I guess they wanted a little more offense out of that position, for some reason. :-?

We got an A+ on Foxsports draft grades. Looks like Magic and Rob did their homework.

Kuzma is an analytics darling. Morey apparently loved him too.

I don't know about Bryant but i'm happy with the other two. Although if it was up to me I would have taken different players but who am I to doubt Ryan West and Maginka. Ryan has been finding us gems like Nance and Zubac and Clarkson.

All in all a wonderful draft day. We got our franchise PG and a couple of solid pieces with good upside. Maginka did well with trading down as well showing they are attentive behind the wheel.

Let the Lonzo Ball era begin

I have...

PG: Lonzo Ball
SG: Jordan Clarkson, Josh Hart, David Nwaba
SF: Brandon Ingram
PF: Julius Randle, Larry Nance Jr., Luol Deng, Kyle Kuzma
C: Brook Lopez, Tarik Black, Ivica Zubac, Thomas Bryant

That's a whole lotta bigs... gotta be some trades still coming... ??

Bryant pick probably had a lot to do with two way contracts between the g league and NBA from this season.

I do love the Josh Hart pick though. That's a spurs like pick up.

Bryant is g league, I'm not sure even black might be bright back but I suppose they'll ship the hell out of Deng, Clarkson all year long to shed salary.

Ike was projected as a mid to late first round but his medical/knee was a huge issue. GMs were saying the knee is in bad situation.

Based on what I've been reading, I like him too. He just sounds like a pro.

My boy JC going to murder this season having a starting job will benefit no more putting him in 2nd place.

His work ethic is crazy and a good all around guy doesn't mouth off, just shuts up and plays
I really hope he does start < not only so I can say "MY boy JC" but also because of his work ethic he deserves it.

It's time to shine JC < you've been miss used and now is your chance ... Having Lonzo feeding you open jumpers and running the fast break, just make sure you hit your jumpers please

Edit: he better not be traded unless it's to shed off Deng as slava pointed out
