Re: Lakers Tank Discussion
At this point I'm assuming:
1)Boston
2)Phoenix
9)Lakers
And when that doesn't happen, I can go on being happy.

To be honest I wrote 1 and 2 and then didn't have the heart to be even more diabolical with the rest of the list.

Unfortunately the biggest gambler within the franchise is in playboy heaven right now or else his mere presence could have won us the lottery. Heck he might even have poker bluffed someone into trading another pick while in the lottery room.

I wonder who will represent us at the lottery...Jeanie? Or a young Buss family member?

Re: Lakers Tank Discussion
Somebody at the top needs to make a serious threat or whatever it takes to these players and coaches to ensure this last game is lost. It's bs the previous one was won. 5th-6th spot % of getting the top pick are drastically different according to those numbers someone posted. The 5th spot has 5 where the 6th has 1 since 1990. Unbelievable...even in the lottery this team battles against the Celtics.

Re: Lakers Tank Discussion
If Boston wins though, and Lakers lose, both ending with 26-56...does it go by wins/losses against each other to determine who gets the 5th or 6th spot? If so, we are screwed.

No... they both get the average number balls between the two totals. If it's a odd number they do a coin flip.

Re: Lakers Tank Discussion
For 5th and 6th it's not
89 + 63=> 76 average
So 13 extra ping pong balls if we tie the Celts....it's better than nothing I guess

That's an improper application of the law of averages to probability- independent events are not affected by previous events.
But OP's post is not mathematically accurate either.

You mean the as***le who deliberately screwed our lottery chances by trying to win vs. the Jazz and Spurs? No thank you.
