Looks like the Lakers are giving cash and a second round pick. I wish we would have got something for taking him on. Yea we really needed at C but the pacers really needed to get rid of him. They were wasting 15 million. Hell at least take Nick young.

Sorry no way Indiana gives you a pick to take the guy. We could have sent him home like we did Jamall Tinsley a few years ago. A buyout would be better than paying someone to take him. Especially when the Lakers haven't signed anyone yet, not like you're killing it with LMA and Monroe signed up. Better hope that you make the top 3 again in the lotto. 8-)
lol at this guy talking trash. cant wait for your reaction when you realize your team just lost your defensive anchor and about to lose david west. your team barely won 38 games and you guys have gotten worse. take a seat.

I am not talking trash just stating reality there is no way the Pacers are giving a pick to move Hibbert, they'd send him home first. And stating fact that the lakers have missed on the big names is not talking trash. As for 38 wins, how about 21 wins?

See you after the season we can compare again.

The only thing I want to compare with the Pacers is who wins a ring first. I'd put $100 that we still do - and you guys already have the franchise player.

You will be happy with Roy he's much better than the average fan realizes, he's gonna get 2-2.5 blocks per game even in just 25 min, don't expect 10 Rbs, or 15 pts a night.

Also from what I hear the deal is a 2nd and cash to pay Roy's 15% trade kicker, to Indiana. You guys got him cheap be happy.

Roy Hibbert: The Good & The Bad
7/5/2015
The Good
1.) Hibbert shoots .748 % from the free-throw line for his career, last season he had a career high .824 FT%. Hibbert can shoot it in the foul line. The Lakers won't be worrying about the Hack-a-FreethrowDummy strategy during the dying minutes of a close game.
2. Hibbert stands 7 foot 2. Having him paired up with undersized PF Julius Randle makes up for the lack of size in the front court. He'll provide that much needed defensive presence down the paint.
3. Roy is only 28 years old. By the time Randle, Clarkson and Russell reaches their potential, Hibbert will still be a solid role player and a starting Center.
The Bad
1.) Hibbert, for his entire career, only averages 6.6 rebounds per game in 25.9 minutes of playing time. Not an impressive number for a 7'2 bigman.
2.) Roy averages .464 FG% for his career. A poor percentage if you compare it to the Lakers' last 3 All-star bigmen: Bynum .556, Gasol .513, Howard .579. Jordan Hill and Ed Davis' FG% are even better than Roy Hibbert: Hill .579, Davis .556.
3.) Hibbert has a history of mental issues. Hibbert has been seeing a sports psychologist since 2008. His struggles in several playoffs series in the past were due to psychological issues.

From Facebook Lakers group

LAL has reached out to Larry Sanders trying to gauge a mutual interest. Sanders will be playing in the Drew league with long time friend Nick Young. Sanders remains non-commital, but wants to start Drew league to see if he can still play.

Larry Sanders would be amazing. if we could bring him in, as the long term frontcourt partner for Randle, and get him committed to the game, we will have such a good core

Be happy with what you have beating Cleveland or Golden State, not to mention OKC is not gonna be easy for anyone. What you have can be gone in a snap. Kobe is most likely in his last season, and he's pretty broken down. He might have a good year. You have Russell and Randle congrats on that, and now you have Roy.

Everyone saw what happened to Paul George last season, that could have been worse, could have been his neck that got broken. Do you remember Len Bias? If not look it up. Whatever you have be thankful for it because it can be gone in a flash. The Bible says "Pride goeth before a fall." Proverbs 16:18

If anyone would have bet me that Roy Hibbert was ever going to be a Laker, I would have lost my username, my sig, maybe even some money. Not only that but to have a thread and poster praising for this to happen.

Anyone remember this?

Maybe he'll hook up with a Kardashian/Jenner while he's at it too.

I don't want to nit-pick but Jordan Hill does not shoot 58%. In fact, Hill shot 46% last year and also he plays no defense. At least with Hibbert we get defense.

nothing preventing us from getting both, Larry Sanders, no matter how you look at it, has been out of the game, a 1 year deal now, to prove he can play, with a player option maybe (i mean, we can still offer him north of 8 mill if we dump nick young) and then give him the max if he turns out to be as he was before and has potential to grow
