I just hope this was leaked by Kidd's camp and not ours... We can't possibly think this would be a popular move, right?

Riley was hired as an ASSISTANT COACH when he first coached with the Lakers in 1979.

Slava, I'd appreciate it if you do not respond to my posts. I'm interested in hearing from others though.

Pat Riley was broadcaster when he was hired. He was the Stu to Chick back then.

Steve Kerr was a broadcaster when hired as well.

So Kidd begged for an interview, got one, and then leaked it in the hopes the phone would start ringing for real...
Still though... Kurt Rambis...

Jason Kidd is more desperate than the old stripper at a truck stop strip club.

Thank God!! Holy **** has Kidd been desperate through all this. First throwing himself at us a month or so ago and now begging for a sit down and then leaking that he's been interviewed.

As an aside: The thought that at this very moment Kurt Rambis is out there making hugely important decisions with big consequences for my Lakers makes me wanna give up on life.

Would rather have Luke back than Kidd.

I'm old and I listened to many of his games with Chick before he was hired as an assistant. I just thought the response I got to my simple question of whether Howard had any head coaching experience was rude. It's happened several times over the years.

I caught 5mins of Pablo Torre's show on ESPN just now and there is a report that Lebron has lost all confidence in the Lakers management.... maybe irrevocably.

Oh, LeGroin doesn’t like that Linda Rambis has opinions about coach hire? Magic gone, Rambis helping Pelinka? Hm. Team mates see you as a back stabber. Hmm. NYK with Kyrie and AD?

So.... Kerr was a broadcaster and Riley was a broadcaster too. Is that what everyone is fixated on? Oh by the way.....they both had long NBA careers as players which is where their qualifications to be coaches came from. If Kidd became a broadcaster is he more qualified since he was a better player?

The next coach needs to be able to handle both inexperience and a superstar or two. Not an easy assignment. They also have to do this while is the hottest spotlight in the NBA with the most critical fan base (evidence above).

I don't have strong feelings one way or another about Howard or Lue. Kidd's had a shot or two and hasn't stuck or had a ton of success. If he had he wouldn't be available.

Question will be.... will we hire someone who will be strong enough to change and/or mesh superstars? This is where the team wants to go IMHO. I think the youth is currency if we strike out in the FA market and I'm not convinced that ownership cares to wait on them at all. Lue knows Bron and has experience with star players. Howard is unknown. Is what's known about Lue better than the potential of Howard? That seems to be the question that needs to be answered.

If you read that guys other tweets, he said there was a Big lakers meeting today where Jeanie went in front of the board.. The board wanted both Luke and Pelinka gone, and are apparently asking Jeanie to get rid of Pelinka...

If one's BS, then the other probably is too, I guess, but something to think about until actual news regardless.

Probably yes, he referred to the Sedano show so I thought it might have happened.

The good thing about this is they are not rushing it at all, the FO is taking their time, like a normal hiring process, we better pick up the better available option.

This is a Looney Toons cartoon. Bugs Bunny and Daffy Duck are competing for superiority and neither are qualified.
