If they're gonna let Harden push-off, slap with the off-hand, and elbow to clear space, along with his hop-back three, he's going to go down as the greatest referee engineered shot creator of all time.

I hate to complain about calls, but it's more of an objection to play style. It's so frustrating to watch someone as big and strong and talented as Harden continually initiate contact then throw himself around like he's Ginobli's kid brother.

Nice to have Playoff Rondo on the court tonight. He was awesome.

I  Rondo... Don't care.
Told myself I was done with the NBA this season, but happened to be near the computer at the right time so watched the second half.

This team runs so much better when Rondo is playing and playing well. When he sucks, we suck, but I still love this team when he plays well... I get that all eyes are going to be on AD and Gianis, but this team really needs a facilitator that can free James up to do what he does best.

Good win... Hope they can keep the heat on.

Need to adjust the game thread subject lol.

We won a game when the Rockets hit 22 3's. Didn't think that would be possible.

A rare win. They missed their shots at the end.

Yeah, I was surprised how much they let Harden get away with in the second half... I saw elbows, aggressive shoves, body checks, that I thought all could have gone against him... They finally whistled him on that last shove, and I think gave him the message that he'd had his chances... But still... You can't let a guy as good as Harden get away with that.

I get that it's a veteran skill set to be able to draw fouls, but there's a difference between drawing actual contact and pantomiming contact like it's a damn WWE match, especially when you are as big and strong as Harden. Frustrating.

Adam Stern wrote:Just a couple of seasons ago there were people who argued Westbrook was just as good as Harden.
Imagine if that were really true.

Tonight the dude just looked like a 1000 pound achor around the neck of the Rockets.
Why is he jacking up so many threes now after toning down all year?

IMO, Russ was a considerably better all around offensive and defensive player than Harden @OKC. People like to knock on his stat padding on rebounds, but you gotta get to 8rbs to stat pad your way to a triple double. Getting 10+ assists on the worst shooting lineup in the league is no laughing matter.

Harden has become a great defender since last season, and his / D'Antoni's offensive style is more sophisticated and dynamic now.

Russ has lost athleticism over the last couple of years, which never ages well. While Harden's shooting and playmaking will only improve with age.

We won two quarters where they missed a ton of WIDE open shots, and lost 2 quarters when they made them. Rockets can live with that, I hope Vogel can't. BAD DEFENSIVE SCHEME!!

This video doesn't show the way that Rondo was playing defense like a free safety.
It reminded me of how Kobe played Rondo in the Finals during our games against the Celtics.
It bit us is in the ass when they were hot.
Like someone said when they're cold, they're cold.
Deep into that darkness peering, long I stood there wondering, fearing, Doubting, dreaming dreams no mortal ever dared to dream before;

Gotta give it to morris too... Missed the first half, so didn't see his scoring outburst, but in the second half he was cleaning the glass and altering shots. It was probably the best game I've seen him play for LA.

All that said, this is shaping up to be a long series. Hoping we put the boot too them in GM 3 and go up 2-1, otherwise we're in for a nailbiter.

Necessary win but being down at the end of Q3 was annoying to watch.

Harden taking only 12 shots and Westbrook **** the bed won't happen that often again. Still, I think we close out the series 4-1. Rockets have a paper thin rotation and some of these guys already look pretty lethargic.

Bron and AD were cooking. Rondo was good, Kieff was good. Even Danny Green did fine, sometimes I forget he's on this team.

Much needed win, I was really upset when we blew that 21-pt lead in the 3rd, but the team played hard and earned the W. Kudos to LeBron, AD, Morris and Rondo, they were terrific. However, we keep leaving shooters open (they shot over 40% from 3), stop trapping and doubling ffs!

Him and McGee should never see the floor this series. We had a 16 point lead at the break, but McGee started the 3rd quarter and it was a trainwreck. I think in a span of 3 minutes or so, unitil Kuzma came in, every shot they got was wide open. We kinda suck at defending the 3 without them playing, but with them we are truly awful.
