I’d do it a heartbeat.

He’s talented and I believe he is still on his rookie deal so a very tradable contract if it doesn’t work out .

I doubt HOU would part with him because they have other pathways to get under the cap

Sure...but the fact that it was even an option in the coaches head, aughta spell out the talent level here. Same goes for the rest of them. Your coach essentially concluded that you had nothing to bring to the game. So your either behind someone amazing in the pecking order, or.....well....your prob not very good.

Completely agree. At the same time Hayes could have provided some length in stretches to slow Gobert down a bit. Get a few rebounds. Block a couple of shots.
Dunk a few times.

Gobert absolutely torched us and he torches no body!

Put some length on hike for gods sake.

I like JJ quite a bit and am glad he’s our coach.

But in the playoffs , his inexperience was exposed imho.

I can only hope and pray that Rob and JJ had a heart to heart talk about re-signing Hayes.
That last 2 games was very compelling about how JJ felt about Jaxson that the Lakers coach would rather try to play a very rusty Center like Kleber, the guy who played zero minutes with Lebron, Rui, Gabe etc before, in an elimination game rather than use Hayes.
Call me crazy and probably I am just imagining things but I just seem to me that Luka's agent, Bill Duffy, is the new "partner" of Pelinka, that just replaced Rich Paul.
Bill was aware that Rob was very desperate to sign a legit center. I can see Ayton's agent telling Pelinka that his client will sign IF he also re acquire Hayes and oh btw it would not be for the Vet minimum but at 5 Mil WITH no Trade Clause. Forget the fact that 29 other teams did NOT offer Jaxson a contract, the Lakers must sign or else....
Lakers could have tried other bigs like Thomas Bryant or Biyombo but nah.....

Yeah I would have kept JH in and was surprised though he was not the right sized center for that assignment. JJ will get there... for year 1 he did great.

Yeah, I can't argue with that. As D-Darko just said....I think he will improve with time. It was a bad situation, and he tried something desperate. It didn't work, and so it's egg on his face. We'd all be saying how smart that was, had it worked. Besides learning....hopefully we have a more complete team for him to coach in the future.

I doubt the Cavs owner could say no to the jersey sales. Mobley and a young POA defender for the Brons.

Or let’s make sure Giannis demands out, trade them both to the Bucks.

Jersey sales are actually split between all 30 teams. Might help drive ticket sales though.

Of course the Cavs are never in a million years giving you Mobley for a 40+ year old Lebron going into free agency. You could maybe get Garland, and even that's a huge maybe. Feels like you'd have to throw in Reaves and a pick too.

Lebron turns 41 later this year and will be a free agent. How could anyone think you'd get Mobley for him.

Actually, the Cavs are a second apron team so they can be forgot about as a trading partner for Bron.

That was my thinking, that they could use his expiring to get below that apron over two years but I was wrong.

phily is the team for me ....

lebron, bronny, and Vando. for VJ, oubre, and PG. we give LeBron expiring for PGs horrible contract and get one of the best young prospects, while LeBron compete for a chip with maxey and embiid

than trade PG, dalton for Middleton and smart to get their expiring

Marcus Smart if waived is a no-brainer. Perfect fit.

We can't give up our on the Ball Dawg at the PG position. And we don't need to leverage our future 1st. I was willing to release the 1st and Rui for Wiggins. As our Defense would be solid on the wings and at the Point up top. But I have seen enough of Vincent to know, he's been straight up Clutch when we need him. Can't give up those types of guys.

I tried watching Summer League yesterday on ESPN kept freezing, so didn't bother and I saw the box scores for today's game and noticed Knechts 4pts ...

Maybe this is why his playing bad, he is hearing news that Lakers keep trying to trade him, welcome to the NBA Knecht.

Cole Swider might end up replacing him on a two way?

Stand your ground, Pelinka. No Gabe in a Rui trade for Wiggins. And no Knecht unless we get Hero back.

We need Vincent here to mentor RJ Davis.

There's a thread on Bulls page that they might buy out Vucevic? If so could we wait for that??
