So I went to the aforementioned wedding today. They had their official wedding in India, but needed to perform the civil ceremony in Canada, in order for my cousin to expedite her citizenship process. She had claimed on entry to Canada that she was visiting us, so we could make no mention of her previous, official wedding.

After the ceremony was conducted, the groom's friend is like 'Congrats on getting married again' verbatim. Awkward silence ensues as I notice a flash of pure terror on my cousins face. The government official in charge of the ceremony becomes instantly suspicious and asks what that outburst was about. They tried to convince the gov't official that their friend had thought they were previously married but was mistaken.

I don't know how much the Gov't official bought, but the damage was done.

Sidenote: Money with card and envelope was a hit, thanks youse guyses.

If it wasn't against the Royals, I'd probably drop the $90+ they wanted to sit in the OF. Although, with it being a Friday night, Opening Day, and first game of the Pujols era, it will probably be a ridiculous atmosphere regardless.

Sushi and bowling instead... :nonono:
