Lakers Receive - Kyrie , Buddy and Turner
Nets Receive - THT , Nunn , Goga and 27 pick from Lakers ( Massive trade exception)
Pacers Receive - Russ, Harris and 29 from Lakers ( Gets unprotected pick from Lakers and saves a year of money going from Buddy to Harris.
Not enough incentive for Indy as Hield and Harris contracts are almost identical (both have two years remaining).
Good catch for some reason ESPN trade checker was showing an extra year on Hield.
Could just be a simpler trade.
Lakers receive - Kyrie, Harris and Turner
Nets receive - Russ 27 unprotected saves 8 mil this year in salary alone plus luxury tax.
Pacers Receive - THT, Nunn and 29 unprotected
The only team that gets a first round pick is the team that's taking on Westbrook. There's no way I'd also give a first rounder to the Nets for saving them tens of millions of dollars plus taking a player that has no other market.
Indiana Deal with Westbrook:
To LAL: Irving, Hield, McConnell
To BKN: Turner, Nunn, 2023 2nd from Lakers
To Pacers: THT, Reaves, Westbrook, 2027 Lakers 1st
Lakers Roster:
Irving/McConnell/
Hield/Walker/Christie
LeBron/Brown Jr/Stanley
AD/JTA/Gabriel/
Bryant/Jones/
Then if Brooklyn does a Toronto deal:
To TOR: Kevin Durant, Harris, Curry
To BKN: Siakam, Anunoby, Achiuwa, Flynn + 3 1st round picks, 2 pick swaps
Nets Roster:
Simmons/Nunn/Mills/Flynn
O'Neale/Thomas/Sumner
Anunoby/TJ Warren/Edwards
Siakam/Achiwua/Sharpe/
Turner/Claxton/
Brooklyn saves 25M in salary (+ luxury taxes) between the two deals, which would put them only $7M above the tax. Easily manageable with several expiring deals as the trade deadline nears.
