Being energetic in the morning is good. My new morning routine: coffee, two multivitamin pills and a banana, and I'm off to the races with Kobe-like focus. Try to slow me down and Dikembe Mutombo will magically appear to wave his finger at you...
I can't do mornings for some reason... no amount of coffee makes me energetic, no amount of sleep will let me wake up not groggy and cranky. The only times when I wake up energetic is when I get up and it's like noon, so I get to start the day with lunch.
It's truly a great feeling.
