Toughness was not what was missing vs the nuggets. Size was missing. Aaron Gordon ran our team over

The Heat are exactly $3.7 mil from the SECOND apron. We (the HEAT) cannot even sign minimum guys to fill out 15 man roster without going over 2nd apron.

We were given 2 months of notice when they finalized new CBA.

Now ya'll took our starting PG cause of this!!

You read this and really appreciate the job Rob has done. Team made it to the WCF and still had financial flexibility this offseason.

You all got a really good player in Gabe Vincent. Works hard for success. Hope he prospers with you!

6’8 Aaron Gordon? That Aaron Gordon? Yeah we just added a 6’8 good defender to help with that.

Actually Jamal Murray continually buried jump shots in our ass. We can deal with him better today than we coukd before. He shot much worse against Miami than he did against us. Vincent was a big reason for that.

Miami too cheap. I hate that we always follow up our success with half ass efforts. :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

i will leave you guys with my favorite Vincent game... when he helped us clown the Celtics in the ECF game 3.

Agree here. He’s a 32% 3pt shooter who had one hot playoff run. This deal is a huge gamble that he plays like he did in the post season. Let’s hope rob is right. Id rather have split the mle between Schroeder and Christian wood over just gabe Vincent
Warspite:

Prince + filler for Kobe Bryant
To be honest the way Prince has played and with Kobes injury/age/mileage Im not sure I would do that deal either. Still Prince is more important and he wins the head to head battles with Kobe.

Vincent is good but that deal if fully guaranteed is more than what Caruso got from the Bulls, which was too much for the Lakers to match?

We lost because we couldn’t stop Murray. We were 13 points away from winning three of those games. Forcing Murray to miss just 2 additional shots each game and we would have been up 3-1. That’s why Vincent was so crucial. Look at Murray’s shooting vs Miami vs what it was against LA. Vincent a huge part of that and before you say it, Miami played the same drop coverage against Denver that we did. Vincent just contested shots a lot better than any of our guards did.

That lone great playoff run makes me concern as well. Heat was bad all season until playoff. We still need some reinforcement at the guard position.

Both forward positions are fine with James, Rui, Vando and Prince.

Need a few bigs and guard. We don't know how Christie and Fino look like in real NBA games yet. (though i trust them and our scout a lot) Vincent is not a sure thing as to the continuity of his play.

I’m thinking they learned their lesson from the Caruso debacle. You have to have guards that can get stops, that’s why Vincent is so important.

You have to look at the roster construction, Vincent is the defense in a very nice three man rotation with Russell and Reaves. All 3 can play on or off the Ball. Christie becomes the 4th guard which is a great spot to get his feet wet without putting too much pressure on him. This is a big boy guard rotation now.

If Christie shows he’s good enough for more time? You will have very tradeable contracts in Russell or Vincent to facilitate a bigger deal.

JHS and Lewis were always scheduled for a season of G League and garbage time. Rookies aren’t ready to have a serious role on a tithe contender, but that’s ok. Both have very bright futures.

So with all these signings,

We got around 33mill left to re-sign or match Austin
Who will cost 12.5mill first year either way

Leaving around 20mill to re-sign any of our guys
Like DLo

Or Schroder/Lonnie

Can always sign anyone for minimum

Should have went after a proven defender and decent shooter like Josh Richardson.
