I fell in love with his game during the Olympics. However he could have been good simply because Spain had a lot of offensive weapons. Kobe and Wade guarded him that was the only time I seen him struggle a bit. When Paul or Kidd guarded him he didn't seem to phased. He couldn't stay in front of Wade but he held his own with anyone else besides Kobe & Williams.

If he is on a team with a a lot of offensive weapons I can imagine he will flourish. Since he is on the Wolves I don't see him becoming stud right from the start. He may just get frustrated being on such a team. Its like if Rondo was playing for Kings or Golden State would he really be that good?

rubio to me seems like a rondo clone, in that he cant shoot but is a solid playmaker and defender.

Rubio's shooting form is much better than Rondo's so there's significant room for improvement there and his ceiling is much higher. If all goes well for him, he could be Steve Nash with solid defense but lesser shooting %s.

My only concern with him other than adapting to the physical game is that he tends to be a little too passive with scoring.

If you saw Rubio in FIBA and Olympics would have saw that Spain was pretty physical. I have no doubt he can take getting beat up on. For some reason Pau is the execption all the other Spanish players come out of Europe used to NBA's physicality. That being said bigger gaurds like Billups and Williams will possibly destroy this kid. Yeah I think you are spot on with that. Rubio will struggle terribly if he is forced to shoot. He may becom frustrated with the level of players on his team. B-Easy and Love are two offensive threats but out side of that who do you got? Whos on the wings? So what will happen? I tell you what will happen, unless he develops some solid mid range or 3pt shot I can see a lot NBA gaurds will simply dare him to shoot it.

I think he could become Steve Nash like with his passing, but really, Nash being one of the best shooters to play the game helps him out a ton with his style of play. Until his jumper is fixed, I don't see Rubio having anywhere near the impact that Nash has had. And even then, I don't think Rubio will ever become an elite shooter.

Need to actually see this kid in action though, Youtube only helps so much. But word is that he's just had his worst season in the Euroleague so we'll see what he can do next season.

I'm not entirely sure of his situation but I think he shifted teams and came off the bench for a good part of this Euroleague season.

- Walsh will be remaining on for a little bit as a "consultant".

- Asst. GM Grunwald will be the GM starting July 1st until they can find a perm replacement (which they said they're starting on right now).

- Guys like Mark Weiltenstein (sp?) ex-GM from Denver, Pritchard, Mullin, Cho, and others are among candidates that have been rumored.

- Also, Mike D' might also be fired now (since not a lot of Players were happy with his Playoff Performance). So guys like Adelman might also be in play.

- More than likely (due to age), Walsh will retire after this.

Adelman would make NY a lot dangerous. Mike D needs to go though, no team ever did well in the playoffs with him around.

Agreed on both counts.

There have been rumors about your boy Phil too here (but as President). :D Some of the Radio guys out there in LA have been saying this (and reportedly Jeannie Buss, who's here in NY, didn't say no when asked).

Not sure about Phil atleast for this year because he said he still has 2 more operations to get done on his hip. I'm not sure if he is going to put it off any longer.

Adelman can run a fine offense in NY, he has a steady PG, albeit an older one in Billups, a pick n roll PF. Melo would seem a little odd for a pass and move offense but surely a defensive minded coach will not work well with your current roster.
