Its the voting thats stupid. We vote on one thing, but not on another. Whether you want to agree or not things like the IL list really changed how this league was played.

Oh shutup already

kind of, but there was a logical argument to having the IL. the only argument that people right now are having for the lottery is that they feel they should have a chance to get a top 3 pick, which is just selfish.

the goal of fantasy basketball is to emulate real basketball as close as possible. their is tanking in real basketball (just like in real basketball their is injury exemptions), i dont see a problem with having it in fantasy as well. unless you can come up with a reason for tanking legitimately hurting the league then i dont see why it should even be voted on.

AAAAAND on top of all that, we cant even actually tank since we still have to set our lineups every week. its not like we are benching our whole team and the guy we are playing against gets a free 9-0. we still have to compete.

I just wish we had done the IL list before the draft.

on top of all that **** too, getting a top pick doesnt even guarantee you will be competitive next season, it usually takes at least 1-2 seasons before guys become fantasy relevant, so were talking about a long term investment here anyways.

Just a tired subject. If you honestly would have drafted different because you would have 2 IL spots heading into the draft, then you're an idiot. With all due respect.

There is a draft lottery in real life. You can still tank by just picking up crap players and trading away your good ones for young players that are still on the steepest end of the development curve.

If you reward anticompetitive behavior like this, than teams will just start throwing away their season once it becomes clear they can't make the playoffs. The goal of the draft order is to help bad teams become successful, not to encourage teams to lose.

No you're right. I drafted with Okafor and competitiveness in mind. Unfortunately, we have players like Matt who draft with Okafor and bottoming out in mind.

Considering he hasn't made a trade, Doormatt is clearly suffering from a poor draft strategy. I don't think competitiveness, or lack thereof, is an issue here.
