You can see Ron close his eyes as Harden comes into contact with him. He clearly sees and feels Harden as his left arm touches Harden as he's winding up for the Elbow of Peace.

And if you were really celebrating a dunk and someone bumps you, you would react and start talking trash.

Artest doesn't react because he knows full well what he was doing and that was getting in a cheap shot.

did you guys hear this? it was hilarious. it was like two and a half minutes, he spends the first and last thirty seconds apologizing to harden, and the rest of the time talking about how great his three dunks were. but the best part is he sounds like he's eating licorice or something, and the whole time he's talking he's incessantly chewing and swallowing, it's funny as hell.

I think he knew someone was there. I don't think he meant to clock him in the head, looks like it was supposed to be more like GTFO of my way.

And the worst foul I've seen this year is Jason Kidd yanking Jeremy Lin's hair when he was airborne and pulling his head back. Not even a flagrant for that. MWP is getting way too much heat for this.

Harden isn't even at Artest's side.

He's actually in front of Artest and Ron can clearly see Harden's arms and shoulders without even extending to his peripheral vision.

Come on Lakers fans, wake up.

Ron Artest has a history of being a bone head.

I didn't expect Lakers fans to start.

You're the guy that brought up peripherial vision in the first place. Now you're saying Harden is not in his peripheral vision... ???

Far as Artest, I remember him getting technicals in Houston for escalating the situation when all he was trying to do was keep the peace. It's bias because of what he did with the Pacers that he can't escape and that's a lousy metric to use to hand out punishments with.

Meanwhile in the rest of the league, Kidd grabs Lin's hair and pulls his head back while he's airborne, no technical. Love looks Scola dead in the eye and stomps his head, 2 games. Blake uses his defenders' shoulders and face as a stepladder to the basket and it's all part of the game.

Artest throws an elbow to get Harden out of his way.... OMFG that's terrible

Harden is lucky to be fine.

And he won't be the same for the rest of the playoffs.

Not only did Artest hurt his team by getting himself thrown out of the playoffs but he's hurt the Thunders chances of not even making the WCF.
